Hoping to sustain momentum and extend their longest undefeated streak of the season, the Tigers visit Madison, Wis., this week for a two-game non-conference series with the No. 15-ranked University of Wisconsin.

Faceoff at the Kohl Center is 6:37 p.m. CT Friday and 7:07 p.m. Saturday as Colorado College plays in its final competition of the 2013 calendar year.

Friday's series opener will be televised nationally by NBC Sports Network.

The teams, longtime co-members of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association until changing leagues this season, last met in the championship game of the WCHA Final Five in March. The Badgers earned an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament with a 3-2 victory at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.

CC, 2-5-3-1 in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference after defeating (4-2) and tying the University of Nebraska Omaha at home last weekend, is 2-10-3 overall for the campaign. The Tigers currently occupy fifth-place in the NCHC standings.

Wisconsin, which recorded a home-ice sweep (7-1, 4-3) over Penn State last Friday and Saturday, is 6-5-1 overall and currently third in the Big Ten Conference with a 2-2-0 mark in league play.

Friday's contest marks the 185th all-time encounter between Colorado College and UW in a rivalry that began on Jan. 8, 1965.

The Badgers own a 109-66-9 advantage in the previous 184 meetings overall, but have won just five of the last 22 dating back to the 2006-07 season. CC is 16-5-1 in the series during that span, including two victories (5-4, 3-0) in Madison last November. The first game required overtime.

While Wisconsin also holds a 56-31-5 all-time edge on home ice, the Tigers are 11-7-4 (.591) in 22 previous appearances at the Kohl Center.
