Colorado College puts its longest undefeated streak of the season on the line and attempts to stay in the hunt for a home-ice playoff berth this week when the Tigers play host to WCHA leader St. Cloud State University in a two-game series.

Faceoff at the World Arena is 7:37 p.m. MT Friday and 7:07 p.m. Saturday.

CC, unbeaten (2-0-3) in its last five outings, takes an 11-14-5 overall record into Friday's contest and is tied for eighth place in the league standings with an 8-10-4 mark in conference play.

The No. 7-ranked Huskies, 18-11-1 overall and 15-6-1 in the WCHA, currently are just one point ahead of second-place University of Nebraska Omaha but have two games in hand with the Mavericks. They also are 3-0-1 in their last four outings on the road.

Both Colorado College and SCSU have had a week of rest since playing last.

With six games remaining in the regular season, the Tigers trail sixth-place University of Wisconsin by seven points in pursuit of the final home-ice spot for the opening round of the league playoffs scheduled for mid-March.

Friday's series opener marks the 86th all-time meeting between the teams. Despite losing twice (5-3, 3-1) in St. Cloud earlier this season, Colorado College still owns a 45-34-6 advantage in the previous 85 encounters. The Huskies earned a split in their last visit to the World Arena, where they are 12-13-2 against CC, in January 2012.
