Box Score No. 8 Colorado College came up short on the final day of regular-season Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play as it dropped matches to No. 22 Trinity University and Southwestern University on Sunday in Seguin, Texas.

The Tigers began the day falling to Trinity in three sets, 25-23, 25-21, 25-17. CC was unable to keep its lead in the final match of the day dropping a tight 3-2 (17-21, 21-25, 26-24, 25-23, 18-16) decision to Southwestern.

Sophomore Abbe Holtze earned a pair of double-doubles, leading the team in both matches with 13 and 17 kills, respectively. The outside hitter also picked up 15 digs in the first match of the day and 25 digs in the final match.

Junior Sophie Merrifield led the team in the back row with 25 digs against Trinity and 29 digs against Southwestern. With her 54 digs the libero moved into third place on CC's all-time record book with 1,643 career digs. Merrifield needs only 39 more digs to take sole possession of second place.
