This WeekAfter two non-conference games and a week off, Colorado College returns to action in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference this weekend with a two-game series at No. 11 Miami University, Nov. 7-8, at Steve Cady Arena in Oxford, Ohio. The puck drops at 7:35 p.m. on Friday and 7:05 p.m. (ET) on Saturday.
On the AirAll CC games in 2014-15, home and away, will be broadcast live throughout Southern Colorado on KRDO NewsRadio 105.5 FM and 1240 AM, featuring Ken Landau with the play-by-play. Pre-game shows start 37 minutes before faceoff. The broadcasts also can be heard worldwide via the internet. Both games this weekend will be streamed live at www.NCHC.tv.

Last Time OutThe Tigers lost a pair of 6-2 contests on the road, at sixth-ranked Boston College on Oct. 24 and New Hampshire on Oct. 25. Junior

A New Season ... A New Coach ... A New EraFor the first time this millennium, Colorado College entered a season with a new head coach. One year after participating in the inaugural season of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference, the
Mike Haviland era is underway at Colorado College. Haviland is the 14th head coach in the history of the program. Â
Up NextFollowing this weekend's action, the Tigers play at in-state rival Denver on Friday, Nov. 14, at 7:35 pm in the first of four games in the quest to keep The Gold Pan. Â
76th Season of Hockey at CCThis season marks the 76th year of varsity ice hockey at Colorado College. This is the Tigers' second season in the NCHC. CC was a charter member of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (1951-52) for 62 seasons before joining the NCHC with seven other schools in 2013.
For the RecordColorado College is 2-4 overall and 0-2 in the NCHC this season after falling twice on the road two weeks ago. CC was idle last weekend … Miami is 5-3 overall and 1-1 in the NCHC after splitting a pair of league games at No. 19 Minnesota Duluth last weekend. The Redhawks have three wins over top 20 teams this season, including a pair against 17th-ranked Ohio State, Oct. 17-18.
The CoachesMike Haviland (Elmira College, '90), who is in his first season at the helm of the Tigers, came to Colorado College after serving one year as head coach of the Hershey Bears (AHL). Haviland was an assistant coach for the Chicago Blackhawks from 2008-12, helping the team win the Stanley Cup in 2010 … Enrico Blasi (Miami, '94) is in his 16th season as head coach at Miami. He is the winningest coach in school history with 331 victories and led the Redhawks to back-to-back Frozen Four appearances in 2009 and '10, including the school's first-ever berth in 2009 when Miami advanced to the national championship game.
All-Time SeriesColorado College and Miami have played four times with the Tigers holding a 3-1 advantage. The teams split a pair of games last season in Colorado Springs, with CC winning 4-1 on Jan. 24 and Miami taking a 6-1 decision on Jan. 25.
Scouting the OppositionSenior Blake Coleman leads the Redhawks and the NCHC in scoring with 11 points and is tied for the league lead with six goals. He posted three goals and an assist last weekend vs. UMD. Junior Sean Kuraly has eight points (5g,3a) and four of his tallies have been game-winners. Junior netminder Jay Williams has played in six of Miami's eight games and has a 2.02 GAA. Fellow junior Ryan McKay was in net for last Friday's 3-2 victory over Minnesota Duluth and has a 3.39 GAA in three games this season.
Bradley Finding the NetAfter a three-point weekend at BC and UNH, Bradley leads CC in scoring with five points (4g,1a). He has scored in each of the team's last three games, dating back to the Oct. 18 game at home against No. 3 North Dakota. Bradley is tied for fifth in the NCHC with four goals and scored the GWG in the season-opener against Alabama-Huntsville.
