The Tigers play host to the Golden Grizzlies at 7 p.m. under the Washburn Field lights on Friday, Sept. 12, and the Chippewas two days later for a noon kickoff on Stewart Field. Â

CC improved to 2-1-2 by defeating Weber State University (5-2) and tying Marquette University (0-0) last week in the Colorado College Invitational. The Tigers are 2-0-1 at home in 2014.

Oakland, which competes in the Horizon League, will bring a 1-5-0 record into Friday's contest after dropping a 2-1 decision at Central Michigan on Sept. 5. The Golden Grizzlies are 0-3 and have been outscored 9-1 on the road so far this season.

The Chippewas, members of the Mid-American Conference, dropped to 1-3-1 overall and 0-3-1 on the road with a 3-0 loss at the University of Michigan on Sunday, Sept. 7. CMU visits Air Force on Friday night.

Colorado College is playing both Oakland and Central Michigan for just the second time. The Tigers dropped the only previous meeting against the Golden Grizzlies, 2-1, at the Stanford Invitational on Sept. 30, 2005. Earlier that season, CC defeated CMU, 4-1, on Sept. 2 at Stewart Field.Â

Colorado College scores an average of 2.0 goals per game while allowing 1.4. Six different Tigers have found the net at least once this season, while three more have an added an assist.

Sarah Schweiss leads the team with four goals and eight points. Junior midfielder
Jessie Ayers is second with two goals and four points. Junior midfielder
Kaeli Vandersluis and
Rachel Herron are tied for third with three points.

It should come as no surprise that Vandersluis was involved in one of the team's two game-winning goals this year. In a little more than three full seasons, she has factored in 15 game winners, scoring six and assisting on nine others.

With a goal and an assist so far this year, Vandersluis climbed into sole possession of 12th place with 56 career points and she tied Tiffany Brown (2007-10) for 11th place with 16 career assists. Vandersluis also became the 15th Tiger to score 20 or more career goals and currently is tied for 13th place on the all-time chart. She is one of six players to be ranked among CC's top 15 on both lists.

With two goals during the 5-2 victory over Weber State University, Ayers climbed into sole possession of seventh place on the program's career list with 26. It marked the fourth multiple-goal game of her career. With four points, she also moved past Maryclaire Robinson (1986-89) for 10th place on the all-time list with 58.

Rowan Frederiksen has game started every game in goal, where she owns a 0.95 goals-against average and a .821 saves percentage.

Colorado College travels to Provo, Utah, to face BYU on Saturday, Sept. 20, in its final non-conference game of the regular season. The following week, the Tigers play host to Utah State University and Boise State in their first conference games as members of the Mountain West.
