Box Score No. 10 Colorado College kicked off conference play with a pair of sweeps over host the University of Dallas and Austin College on Saturday afternoon in Irving, Texas.

The Tigers earned their first sweep of the day with the help of sophomore
Abbe Holtze in a 25-20, 25-21, 25-18 victory over Dallas. The outside hitter had a team-high 17 kills along with 14 digs to earn her first double-double of the day.

Colorado College got off to an early two-set lead over the Crusaders, but Dallas (6-6, 0-1 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) looked to take the third set with a 13-11 lead nearly midway through the third set.

The Tigers fought back when senior
Kristen Liberty got a kill from sophomore
Rebecca Watson to help ignite an 11-1 run to give CC possession of the game and earn the win.

Colorado College (13-2, 2-0 SCAC) took its momentum into the second match holding Austin to a .059 hitting percentage. The Tigers, who had a .330 attack percentage, beat the Roos, 25-14, 25-13, 25-18.

CC dominated Austin (13-4, 1-1 SCAC), only having one two-point deficit early in the third match. The Tigers struck back with a 6-1 run off of a kill by Holtze to take the lead it would never relinquish.

Holtze led CC again offensively with 12 kills and added 15 digs on defense. Liberty added 15 kills on the day, while freshman
Susannah Phillips earned 14 kills and a team-high five blocks over two games.

Defensively, the Tigers were led by senior
Julia Lawton with a team-high 35 digs in two games, while freshman
Sarah Barker had a team-leading 53 assists.

Colorado College resumes conference play on Sunday against Centenary College at 11 a.m. CT in Irving, Texas.
