Box Score Colorado College's debut in the Mountain West didn't go as planned, but the Tigers did extend their winning home streak to 19 games with a 1-1 tie against Utah State on an otherwise perfect afternoon at Stewart Field.  

Senior midfielder Jennifer Stoot struck for her first career goal in the seventh minute, sending a crossing shot from 28 yards out on the right side into the net. Freshman defender Ali Basom earned her first point with the assist..

Neither team was able to generate many dangerous scoring opportunities until CC was called for a foul just outside the penalty area with a little more than five minutes remaining in the first half.

Junior goalkeeper Heather Seeley punched Ambryn McCallson's free kick away, but the rebound went directly to freshman forward Wesley Hamblin who knocked the ball in to level the score.

Colorado College generated a couple of scoring chances late in regulation, but senior midfielder Jessie Ayers sent a blast over the cross bar with 9:50 remaining and senior defender Jordan Savold was high with a shot from 15 yards away after working herself free at the top left corner of the box.

The Tigers produced a dangerous opportunity with 2:20 remaining in the first overtime, but senior forward Jaclyn Silsby's shot from eight yards away was blocked after she collected a free kick from junior defender Alexis Moore from 45 yards away.

CC recorded a 16-11 advantage in total shots and an 8-7 edge in corner kicks.

Seeley finished with four saves in her first career start.

The Tigers are 4-2-3 overall and 0-0-1 in MW.

Junior keeper Jeannie Woller stopped four shots for the Aggies, who are 4-3-2 overall and 0-0-1 in conference play.

Colorado College plays host to Boise State University on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
