Last Time Out
Colorado College split a pair of games at home with No. 7 Nebraska Omaha last weekend ... On Friday, junior Hunter Fejes (Anchorage, AK) scored twice, including an unassisted game-winning goal midway through the third period, to lead CC to a 4-3 upset victory. Sophomore Jaccob Slavin (Erie, CO) added a goal and two assists for the second straight game as the Tigers captured their first win in National Collegiate Hockey Conference play this season. Sophomore Tyler Marble (Detroit, MI) won his second consecutive outing with 26 saves, including several in the final two minutes with CC on the penalty kill ... On Saturday, senior Scott Wamsganz (Anchorage, AK) opened the scoring eight minutes into the game, but the Tigers could not get another one past UNO goalie Ryan Massa. Sophomore Luc Gerdes (Eden Prairie, MN) and senior Aaron Harstad (Stevens Point, MN) each earned an assist on Wamsganz' goal. Freshman Chase Perry (Andover, MN) made 10 saves as CC's defense held the Mavericks to just 14 shots.

Up Next
The Tigers host St. Cloud State in a two-game series at The Broadmoor World Arena on Jan. 30-31.

For the Record
Colorado College, in eighth place in the NCHC, is 5-14-1 overall and 1-9-1-0 in the NCHC this season following its split with Nebraska Omaha last weekend … North Dakota is 16-5-2 and 7-4-1-0 in league play after a two-game non-league sweep over Niagara last weekend. UND is in third-place in the NCHC, seven points behind league-leader Omaha.

The Coaches
Mike Haviland (Elmira College, '90), who is in his first season at the helm of the Tigers, came to Colorado College after serving one year as head coach of the Hershey Bears (AHL). Haviland was an assistant coach for the Chicago Blackhawks from 2008-12, helping the team win the Stanley Cup in 2010 … Dave Hakstol (North Dakota, '96) is in his 11th season as the head coach at North Dakota and is the only active Division I coach with a winning record in every season of his career. He has guided his teams to either an NCAA Frozen Four berth, a conference regular season championship or a conference playoff title in nine of his first 10 seasons and has a career record of 276-138-42 (.651).

All-Time Series
Colorado College and North Dakota have played 235 times with UND holding a 145-80-10 advantage after sweeping the Tigers, 3-1 and 7-2, earlier this season in Colorado Springs. CC has won just two of the last 10 meetings, including a 3-2 overtime victory in game two of the 2014 NCHC first-round best-of-three series. The Tigers' last regular-season victory over UND came on Jan. 11, 2013, a 4-3 victory in Grand Forks.

Scouting the Opposition
Junior Drake Caggiula leads North Dakota in scoring with 24 points (9g,15a) this season, good for third place in the NCHC. Senior Michael Parks (8g,15a) and junior Jordan Schmaltz (3g,17a) follow with 23 and 20 points, respectively. Schmaltz is second in the league in assists. Junior goalie Zane McIntyre has played in all 23 games and sports a 1.87 goals-against average and a .933 saves percentage, both No. 2 in the league and No. 10 in the country.

Bradley Continues to Lead CC in Scoring
With his two assists against Nebraska Omaha last Friday, junior Cody Bradley (Tampa, FL) has recorded at least one point in 12 of CC's 20 games and leads the team in goals (8), assists (10) and points (16). His eight goals and 18 points are career-highs and his 10 assists ties his career-best, achieved last season. Bradley is tied for 16th in the NCHC with eight goals and has a team-high six of CC's 21 multi-point games this season.

Tiger Tidbits
With his one goal and two assists last Friday, Slavin became the first Tiger to have at least three points in consecutive games since early in the 2012-13 season (William Rapuzzi on Nov. 10 and 16, 2012) ... With his goal Saturday night, Wamsganz has a point in nine of his last 12 games and tied his career-high three-game point streak ... Friday night's victory was CC's first over a ranked team since defeating No. 10 North Dakota in the second game of the NCHC first-round series last season (March 15, 2014) and first at home since March 1, 2013 (#7 Minnesota State, 4-1) ... UNO's 14 shots on Saturday were the fewest allowed by CC since Bemidji State had the same amount on Dec. 29, 2006 ... CC has scored at least four goals in three of its last five games; the Tigers did that just twice in their first 15 games (5 vs. Wisconsin, Nov. 21; 4 vs. Alabama-Huntsville, Oct. 18) ... Fejes is the first CC player to record three consecutive multi-point games since Alexander Krushelnyski midway through last season ... Senior captain Peter Stoykewych (Winnipeg, Manitoba) is the team's career leading scorer against North Dakota with eight points (2g,6a) in 14 games ... Stoykewych had a  career-high six blocked shots on Saturday.

Power Play Picking up Steam ...
Saturday night's 0-for-3 performance on the power play was CC's first in the last four games without a PPG. Including the 2-for-5 showing on the power play on Friday, the Tigers have moved into the top half of the country for power-play percentage. CC is ranked 26th (59 teams) with an 18.3 percent conversion rate (15-for-82). The Tigers, who went 5-of-52 (9.6 percent) and were ranked second-to-last in the nation with a man advantage after their first 11 games, are 10-for-30 (33.3 percent) in their last nine contests.

... Penalty Kill As Well
In addition to the improvement in the power play, CC's other special teams unit has been equally outstanding as of late. After allowing 12 power play goals in their opponents' first 39 chances (69.2 percent) over the first nine games, the Tigers have given up just four in the last 44 penalty kill situations (90.9 percent). CC is currently ranked 39th in the nation, killing 80.7 percent (67-of-83).

Marble Rolling Along
Marble has had three solid outings so far in 2015. He opened the New Year with a career-high 48 saves on Jan. 3 against Providence, the most by a CC goalie since Josh Thorimbert had 50 in a 2-2 draw at Minnesota Duluth on Feb. 7, 2014. Marble then turned away 23 of 24 shots in CC's 4-1 victory at UConn on Jan. 6 before saving 26 shots in the 4-3 upset over No. 7 Nebraska Omaha last Friday. In those three games, Marble has a 2-1 record, 2.93 goals-against average and a .915 saves percentage.

Two Long Stretches Away From Home
CC's game at UConn on Jan. 6 ended a stretch that had the Tigers play 13 of 14 regular-season games away from home. Since playing North Dakota in the final game of a four-game homestand on Oct. 18, the only regular-season game at The Broadmoor World Arena was against Wisconsin on Nov. 21. CC did host the U.S. National Under-18 team in a pair of exhibitions, Dec. 27-28. Including the games last weekend against UNO, the Tigers will play 10 of their final 15 games at home.

Several Career-Highs Already This Season
In addition to Bradley, six other TIgers have posted a career-high number of points this season. They are Wamsganz (11), Luc Gerdes (five), Zach Aman (four), Christian Heil (three), Matt Hansen (three) and Michael King (one).
