Box Score Colorado College struck for a pair of goals midway through the first half and that proved to be more than enough scoring as the Tigers defeated Boise State University on Friday afternoon.
Sarah Schweiss put CC on the board in the 21st minute when she knocked home the rebound of a shot by freshman midfielder
Rae Conlon, who leads the team with four assists.
Schweiss climbed into a tie for 10th place on the program's all-time goal scoring list, joining former teammate
Kaeli Vandersluis (2011-14) with 24. She also became the 12 player in school history to reach the 60-point plateau and finished the contest with 61.
With her fifth game-winning goal of the year, the senior midfielder now has 11 for her career to go along with seven game-winning assists.
First-year midfielder
Clara Richter doubled Colorado College's lead 1:38 later, finding the net from five yards after taking advantage of a mishandled ball by freshman goalkeeper Tara Fisher.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Louisa Mackenzie posted her fourth clean sheet of the season, stopping the only three shots the Broncos put on frame.
Thanks to their third consecutive triumph on the road, the Tigers improved to 7-8-1 overall and 5-2-0 in the Mountain West.
Other than the score, the game was a statistical draw. Both teams launched 10 total shots and generated three corner kicks.
Fisher made three saves for BSU, which dropped to 5-8-3 overall and 3-4-0 in the conference.
Due to poor air quality from the forest fires in the Boise area, the contest was played at Northwest Nazarene University.
CC visits Utah State University on Sunday at 1 p.m. PT.
