Box Score Sarah Schweiss struck for a pair of goals, but Colorado College ran out of time and dropped a 3-2 decision at Utah State University on Sunday afternoon.

Schweiss pulled the Tigers to within 3-2 with 8:55 to play when she took a touch from freshman midfielder Anna Gregg, dribbled through the box and scored with a shot to the far corner.  

The senior midfielder had one final attempt in the closing seconds, but her long shot was hauled in by senior goalkeeper Jeannie Woller.

Junior forward Jessica Brooksby put Utah State on the board in the 16th minute and struck for a second time 2:20 into the second half.

Schweiss cut CC's deficit in half in the 72nd minute when won the ball from an Aggie defender and found the net with a crossing shot.

Less than eight minutes later, Utah State answered with a goal by sophomore midfielder Wesley Hamblin, who worked a give-and-go at the top of the box with Brooksby.

With her second multiple-goal game of the season, Schweiss climbed into eighth place in program history with 26 career goals and 10th place with 65 career points.

She has scored eight of her nine goals in conference play, with six of those coming on the road.

Sophomore goalkeeper Louisa Mackenzie stooped three shots for CC, which aliped to 7-9-1 overall and 5-3-0 in the Mountain West.

Utah State finished with a 13-10 edge in total shots, but the Tigers held an 8-6 edge in shots on frame.

Woller made six saves for the Aggies, who improved to 9-7-1 overall and 4-4-0 in the conference.

Colorado College plays its final home games of the season this week against the University of New Mexico and San Diego State University on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
