Colorado College plays its final game of the regular season on Friday, Oct. 30, when the Tigers make the short drive up I-25 to play Air Force. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. at the Cadet Soccer Stadium.

CC faces a virtual must-win situation on Friday night to earn one of six spots in the 2015 Mountain West Championship. If the Tigers defeat Air Force, their season continues if the University of Wyoming loses or ties at Colorado State University. If the Cowgirls win, Colorado College needs either Utah State University or UNLV to lose.

Even with a loss, the Tigers can still book a trip to San Diego if Boise State University and UNLV both lose, and Fresno State loses or ties. The last match to kick off on Friday is Nevada at UNLV at 7 p.m. PT. The six-team bracket will be announced once the participating teams are determined after Friday's games.

The MW tournament kicks off on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at San Diego State University. The semifinals will be played on Thursday, Nov. 5, followed by the championship match on Saturday, Nov. 7.

CC owns a commanding 11-3-0 advantage in the all-time series with Air Force, which includes a 4-3-0 mark in games played at the USAFA.

Regardless of where the teams play, fans can expect a low scoring game because 10 of the 13 previous meetings, including six of the last seven, were decided by one goal. Three of those games went to overtime, with the Tigers prevailing on each occasion. Only three times in the previous 13 games did the winning team score three or more goals.

Colorado College is 7-11-1 overall and 5-5-0 in the Mountain West after dropping a pair of games against the two teams at the top of the league standings at home last week.

The Tigers began the week with a 1-0 loss to the University of New Mexico, and then fell by a 3-1 score to regular-season champion San Diego State on Sunday. CC takes a 3-2-1 road overall record into Friday's game, but the Tigers are 3-1-0 away from home in league play.

The Falcons also lost both games last weekend, dropping a 1-0 decision to SDSU and falling by a 3-0 count to New Mexico. Air Force is 3-7-0 at home this season, which includes a 1-4-0 mark in conference games.

The winner of Friday's game also will finish third in the 2015 Colorado Cup Standings with a 2-1-0 record and six points. The University of Colorado won the cup for the fourth time in five years, edging Colorado State on a 4-3 goal differential. The Buffs and Rams each finished with a 2-0-1 record in their three countable games.
