ResultsThe Colorado College women's swimming and diving team won every event and defeated Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Southwestern University, 197-84, in a dual meet Friday afternoon in Georgetown, Texas.

CC opened the meet with a dominating win in the 400-yard medley relay and cruised from there. Seniors
Olivia Dilorati and
Megan Gillespie, along with sophomores
Ellen Silk and
Justina Zuckerman, captured the race in 4:09.63, more than six seconds faster than the second-place team from SU.

Gillespie paced the Big Cats with three individual victories, the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke races as well as the 400 individual medley. The other three swimmers from the 400 medley relay each posted two wins, as did sophomore
Emily Harrison (200 and 500 freestyle).

The Tigers closed the meet with a dramatic victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay. After Dilorati, Zuckerman and senior
Becca Adams set the table, fellow senior
Erin Holmes held on at the wall and CC won the race by just 36-hundredths of a second.

"The meet was really much closer than the score appeared," head coach
Anne Goodman James said. "Southwestern truly pushed us in several events, we just managed to put it together for all the wins.

Adams was one of three Tigers with a second-place finish. She finished behind freshman teammate
Hannah Varner in the 1000-yard freestyle, while freshmen Katie Guynn (100 breaststroke) and
Chaney Skilling (200 backstroke) also finished second on Friday.

In the diving portion of the meet, sophomore
Mary Rose Donahue completed a clean sweep and posted NCAA qualifying marks in both the one (293.75 points) and three-meter (315.5) events. Freshman
Casey Pollard finished second in each event.

The Tigers battle SCAC opponent Austin College and St. Gregory's University on Saturday, Nov. 14 in Sherman, Texas.
