Highlights from NCHC.tvOliwer Kaski and Colt Conrad scored twice and Griffen Molino had four points Friday night to lead Western Michigan to a 7-3 victory over Colorado College at Lawson Ice Arena.

Kaski scored both of his goals in the decisive second period, when the Broncos pulled away with three tallies, including two in the final four minutes to snap an eight-game losing streak. CC, meanwhile, saw its three-game winning streak come to an end.

Freshman
Andrew Farny scored the first two goals of his career, including the first of the game just 4:24 into the game to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. On the power play, Farny took a pass from fellow freshman
Mason Bergh at the left point, skated to the middle of the ice and sent a wrister past WMU goalie Lukas Hafner. Senior
Hunter Fejes started the play behind the net and picked up his fifth point in the last five games.

The Broncos (5-10-1, 3-6-0 NCHC) evened the score at 1-1 with 4:29 remaining in the first period when Frederick Tiffels knocked home a rebound past freshman
Jacob Nehama.

After Kaski put the Broncos ahead 2-1 with a power-play goal at the 9:20 mark of the second period, Fejes evened the game at 2-2 with his team-leading sixth goal of the season and fourth in the last three games. Junior
Luc Gerdes won a faceoff back to Fejes who placed a writer past Hafner for CC's second power-play goal of the night at the 14:16 mark. Gerdes posted his fifth assist in the last five games.

The Broncos pulled away with a couple of goals late in the second period. Kaski scored his second of the period just as a WMU power play expired with 3:25 remaining, then Michael Rebry scored on a breakaway with 12.4 seconds left in the middle frame as WMU led 4-2 after 40 minutes.

Conrad scored both of his goals and Molino notched a goal and an assist for WMU in the third period, while Farny scored another power-play goal from the point off another assist from Bergh for the Tigers (3-14-0, 2-7-0 NCHC).

"They outworked us in the second and third periods," head coach
Mike Haviland said. "We played well in the first but didn't bear down to get that second goal. I expect us to respond, we need to respond tomorrow night."
CC finished 2-for-4 on the power play, while the Broncos were 1-for-4. WMU outshot CC 35-28, including a 26-13 advantage in the final 40 minutes. Hafner made 25 saves for WMU and Nehama had 28 for Colorado College.
