Last Time Out
Colorado College and cross-town rival Air Force split a pair of 4-3 games last weekend. On Friday, Jordan Himley scored two goals, including the game-winner with 35.9 seconds remaining, to give the Falcons a 4-3 victory at Cadet Ice Arena. After giving up three goals in the first 10 minutes of the second period to fall behind 3-1, the Tigers stormed back to tie the game with goals from senior Hunter Fejes (Anchorage, AK) and freshman Trey Bradley (Tampa, FL). Freshman Mason Bergh (Eden Prairie, MN) opened the scoring with his first career goal late in the first period and sophomore defenseman Duggie Lagrone (Plano, TX) notched the first points of his career with a pair of assists ... On Saturday, the Tigers trailed 1-0 and 2-1 before junior captain Sam Rothstein (Minnetonka, MN) led a comeback and guided CC to its first win of the season. Rothstein scored two consecutive goals for the Tigers to take a 3-2 lead four minutes into the third period. Senior Cody Bradley (Tampa, FL) increased the lead to 4-2 at the 9:39 mark of the third period, but Air Force cut it to 4-3 just 12 seconds later. Freshman goalie Jacob Nehama (Allen, TX) kept the Falcons at bay the rest of the game, including 82 seconds with an extra skater, to post his first career victory. He finished with 25 saves. Junior Luc Gerdes (Eden Prairie, MN) also scored for CC, while freshman Gregg Burmaster (Clinton, NY) posted his first career point with an assist on Rothstein's second goal to help the Tgers post a season-high four goals.

For the Record
Colorado College is 1-13 overall and 0-6 in the NCHC … Miami is 5-7-2 overall and 2-5-1-1 in the NCHC after tying (3-3) and losing (3-2 ot) to Omaha at home two weekends ago.

Up Next
The Tigers take their second road trip of the season to play the Western Michigan Broncos, Dec. 11-12, in Kalamazoo, Mich.

The Coaches
Mike Haviland (Elmira College, '90) is in his second season at the helm of the Tigers. He came to Colorado College after serving one year as head coach of the Hershey Bears (AHL). Haviland was an assistant coach for the Chicago Blackhawks from 2008-12, helping the team win the Stanley Cup in 2010 … Enrico Blasi (Miami, '94) is in his 17th season as head coach at Miami. He is the winningest coach in school history with 356 victories and led the Redhawks to back-to-back Frozen Four appearances in 2009 and '10, including the school's first-ever berth in 2009 when Miami advanced to the national championship game.

On the Air
All CC games in 2015-16, home and away, will be broadcast live throughout Southern Colorado on KRDO NewsRadio 105.5 FM and 1240 AM, featuring Ken Landau with the play-by-play. Pre-game shows start 37 minutes before faceoff. The broadcasts also can be heard worldwide via the Internet.

Scouting the Opposition
Freshman forward Jack Roslovic (8g,7a) leads the RedHawks and is eighth in the NCHC in scoring with 15 points. He is followed by fellow freshman Josh Melnick (5g,5a) and junior Anthony Louis (3g,7a) with 10 apiece. Senior goaltender Ryan McKay is 5-5-2 and has a 2.30 goals-against average this season.

Previous Meetings
Miami holds a 5-3-2 advantage in the all-time series and has won five straight against Colorado College, dating back to a 4-1 CC victory on Jan. 24, 2014 at the Broadmoor World Arena.

Power Play Shows Some Life
The Tigers converted three of its five power-play opportunities last weekend against Air Force. Prior to the AFA series, Colorado College had converted only one of its last 42 man-advantage opportunities since going 4-for-11 in the season-opening series against UMass.

Trey Bradley Earns NCHC Honor
Freshman Trey Bradley was named the Bauer NCHC Rookie of the Week. Bradley continued his strong rookie campaign with a pair of points in the series split with Air Force. On Friday, Bradley scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season on the power play early in the third period to tie the game at 3-3. He also fired four shots on goal in the 4-3 loss. The next night, the Tampa, Fla., native helped the Tigers earn their first win of the season as he handed out an assist on a power play goal midway through the second period that tied the game at 2-2, before CC scored twice in the third period to capture a 4-3 victory. Bradley leads the Tigers with eight points and two power-play goals.

A Break From The Top 20
Air Force was the first opponent since UMass (opening weekend) not ranked in the top 20. The Tigers had played 10 consecutive games against teams ranked in the top 20. CC's seven opponents this season have a combined record of 57-24-17, good for a .668 winning percentage.
Upperclassmen Come Through
Five of CC's seven goals last weekend against Air Force were scored by upperclassmen. Entering last weekend, CC's juniors and seniors had combined for just five of the team's 15 goals.

Penalty Kill Stays Strong
Colorado College killed off five of Air Force's seven power plays last weekend and has erased 38 of the last 45 overall (84.4%) heading back to the second period of the Oct. 16 game at UMass-Lowell. The Tigers have a 78.3% penalty kill percentage this year.

Nehama Records Most Saves in 18 Years
Nehama's 52 saves at UMass-Lowell on Oct. 16 were the most in one game by a CC goalie since Judd Lambert made 60 in a four-overtime victory (1-0) over Wisconsin on March 8, 1997. UML's 55 shots on Friday were also the most by an opponent since Wisconsin recorded 60 in that same game.

Scoring Brothers
Cody and Trey Bradley each gathered an assist on freshman Trevor Gooch's (Mantua, NJ) goal against UMass-Lowell on Oct. 16, becoming the first set of brothers to record a point on a CC goal since March 9, 2012 (Jaden and Rylan Schwartz).

Seven Opponents Played in Postseason
Seven of Colorado College's 12 opponents this season played in the NCAA Division I Hockey Tournament last season. NCHC foes North Dakota, Denver, St. Cloud State, Miami, Nebraska Omaha and Minnesota Duluth as well as Boston College were among the 16 teams to battle for the national championship last spring. North Dakota and
Nebraska Omaha advanced to the national semifinals.

Tough Schedule Last Season ...
Colorado College finished the 2014-15 season with the seventh-toughest schedule in the country, according to the Division I RPI. In fact, the eight NCHC schools occupied the top eight spots on the list. CC played 21 of its 35 games last year, including 13 of its last 17, against teams ranked in the top 12 in the country.

And Even Tougher This Year
Seven of Colorado College's 12 opponents this season are ranked in this week's USCHO.com Top 20 poll, including six that are ranked in the top nine. The Tigers' five previous opponents, Boston College (#2), UMass-Lowell (#5), North Dakota (#4), Denver (#9) and Minnesota Duluth (#17), are all ranked in the top 20 this week.

Kivihalme Near the Top Among D-Men
With his assist against Air Force last Saturday, sophomore Teemu Kivihalme (Savage, MN) is still among the top-scoring defensemen in the NCHC. He is tied for fourth with two goals and tied for ninth with seven points.
