This Weekend
Colorado College plays its final home games of the 2014-15 season this weekend against the Western Michigan Broncos at The Broadmoor World Arena on Feb. 27-28. The puck drops at 7:37 pm on Friday and 7:07 pm on Saturday.

On the Air
All CC games in 2014-15, home and away, are broadcast live throughout Southern Colorado on KRDO NewsRadio 105.5 FM and 1240 AM, featuring Ken Landau with the play-by-play. The pre-game show starts 37 minutes before faceoff. The broadcasts also can be heard worldwide via the internet. Friday's game will be televised along the Front Range on Comcast Entertainment Television (Comcast Channel 105/900). Both games will be streamed live on NCHC.tv.  

Last Time Out
The Tigers lost a pair of games to ninth-ranked Denver last weekend. The Pioneers won 6-4 on Friday in Colorado Springs and 6-3 on Saturday in Denver ... On Friday, junior Peter Maric (Milwaukee, WI) posted a career-high three points (2g,1a), but Danton Heinen and Zac Larazza had three points apiece for the Pioneers, who captured the Gold Pan with the victory. Heinen scored the first of three consecutive DU goals to break a 3-3 tie with just 30 seconds remaining in the second period and Larkin Jacobson scored a shorthanded goal which ultimately turned out to be the game-winner 5:47 into the third period. Sophomore Sam Rothstein (Minnetonka, MN) added a goal and an assist for CC and senior Peter Stoykewych (Winnipeg, Manitoba) also scored for the Tigers ... On Saturday, Jacobson scored the game-winner with 4:45 remaining in the game after CC tied the game at 3-3 with a pair of goals in the first 80 seconds of the third period. Sophomore Jaccob Slavin (Erie, CO)scored his second of the contest, a power-play goal just 57 seconds into the frame, then Maric notched his third of the weekend 23 seconds later to even the score.  Larazza added an insurance goal with 2:32 remaining in the third and Trevor Moore scored an enpty netter with 30 seconds left for the final goal. Sophomore Tyler Marble (Detroit, MI) made 38 saves for CC. 
    
Senior Night This Saturday
Six seniors will play their final home game for Colorado College Saturday night. Jordan DiGiando (Gahanna, OH), Aaron Harstad (Stevens Point, WI), Charlie Taft (Edina, MN), Scott Wamsganz (Anchorage, AK), Ian Young (Red Deer, Alberta) and Stoykewych will be honored in a pre-game ceremony.

The Tigers travel to Nebraska Omaha for the final regular-season series on March 6-7.

For the Record
Colorado College, in eighth place in the NCHC, is 5-23-1 overall and 1-18-1-0 in the NCHC this season following its losses to Denver last weekend … Western Michigan is 12-14-4 and 5-11-4-3 in league play after losing a pair of games to North Dakota at home last weekend. The Broncos are in seventh place in the NCHC with 22 points.

The Coaches
Mike Haviland (Elmira College, '90), who is in his first season at the helm of the Tigers, came to Colorado College after serving one year as head coach of the Hershey Bears (AHL). Haviland was an assistant coach for the Chicago Blackhawks from 2008-12, helping the team win the Stanley Cup in 2010 … Andy Murray (Brandon University, '72) is in his fourth season at Western Michigan and has a 71-55-23 record at the school. In his first year with the program, Murray led WMU to its second CCHA Tournament Championship after the Broncos defeated Michigan, 3-2, in the CCHA final. Murray has 10 years of NHL head coaching experience, spending six seasons at the helm of the Los Angeles Kings and four with the St. Louis Blues.

All-Time Series
Friday's game marks the ninth meeting between the Tigers and Western Michigan. Each team has won three games and there have been two ties in the series. WMU  is 3-1-2 record against CC the last two seasons.

Scouting the Opposition
Sophomore Sheldon Dries leads the Broncos with 23 points (11g,12a). Junior Colton Hargrove (12g,10a) and senior Justin Kovacs (5g,17a) follow with 22 points apiece. Junior Lucas Hafner has played 25 games in the net this season and sports a 2.34 goals- against average and .918 saves percentage.

Tiger Tidbits
Friday night, CC scored more than one goal at home for the first time since a 4-3       victory over Nebraska Omaha on Jan. 16 ... CC's 38 shots were the most in a game  since putting 45 on net vs. UAH on Oct. 11 ... Maric (Friday) and Slavin (Saturday) became just the second and third Tiger this season to score more than one goal in a game (Hunter Fejes vs. Omaha on Jan. 16) ... Maric's four points were his first since the season-opening weekend vs. Alabama-Huntsville ... The Tigers scored more than one goal in the second period for just the third time this season and the first time in league play ... Rothstein notched his third multi-point game of the season ... Junior Cody Bradley (Tampa, FL) tied his season best with a game-high seven shots Friday ... On Saturday, Slavin posted the second two-goal game of his career (at North Dakota, 1/10/14) ... Marble set a career-high with 21 saves in the first period on Saturday ... Bradley has a three-game point streak for the fourth time this season.
 
Bradley Continues to Lead CC in Scoring
Bradley has recorded at least one point in a team-high 18 of CC's 29 games and leads the squad in goals (8), assists (16) and points (24). All three totals are career-highs and he has a team-high six of CC's 24 multi-point games this season. Bradley is tied for 15th in the NCHC with 16 assists.  

Back in the Top 20 in Power Play Pct.
Colorado College moved back up to 20th in the country (59 teams) for power-play   success at 19.8 percent (21-for-106) after going 2-for-4 last weekend against Denver. The Tigers, who went 5-of-52 (9.6 percent) and were ranked second-to-last in the nation with a man advantage after its first 11 games, are 16-for-54 (29.6 percent) in their last 18 contests beginning on Dec. 5. That is the second-best PP percentage in the country during that time frame, behind Michigan (32.7%).
 
Several Career-Highs Already This Season     
In addition to Bradley, eight other Tigers have posted a career-high number of points this season. They are Wamsganz (16), Fejes (15), Luc Gerdes (eight), Maric (seven), Matt Hansen (six), Zach Aman (five), Christian Heil (five) and Michael King (one).  

Tough Schedule This Season    
Colorado College currently has the seventh-toughest schedule in the country, according to the Division I RPI. In fact, NCHC schools occupy the first seven spots on the list while North Dakota is 10th. CC has played 14 of its 29 games this season against teams ranked in the top 10.
