Â
Seniors

Charlie Taft and
Ian Young scored in the second period to blow the game wide open and
Peter Stoykewych and
Aaron Harstad each picked up an assist as CC scored five goals in a game against a National Collegiate Hockey Conference opponent for the first time in the two years of the league's existence.
Â
After those five seniors, along with injured
Jordan DiGiando, were honored in a pre-game ceremony, the Tigers came out on fire and took a 2-0 lead in the first period for the second consecutive game. Bradley gave CC a 1-0 lead just 2:25 into the contest with his team-leading ninth goal of the season after taking a pass from Harstad and beating WMU goalie Lucas Hafner.
Â
Bradley then notched his 10
th of the campaign with the first of CC's three power-play goals at the 12:18 mark of the opening frame by redirecting a slapshot from
Teemu Kivihalme past Hafner. Kivihalme picked up his second assist and Bradley his third point of the night just 21 seconds into the second period as Wamsganz made it 3-0 with his eighth of the season, a power-play goal after collecting a rebound off Kivihalme's shot.
Â
Young gave CC (6-23-2, 2-18-2-0 NCHC) just its second four-goal lead of the season (Wisconsin on Nov. 21) with a power-play goal of his own at the 6:22 mark of the second period, sliding a wrist shot from the point past Hafner, ending his evening. Frank Slubowski replaced Hafner and gave up the final goal of the game with 1:55 left in the middle period when Taft placed a perfect shot in the net immediately after Bradley won a faceoff.
Â
Marble closed out a spectacular weekend with the first clean sheet of his career, making 27 saves Saturday and 77 for the weekend, the most by a Tiger in a two-game series since Joe Howe had the same amount at Michigan Tech on March 8-9, 2013. Hafner finished with 13 saves and Slubowski had eight for WMU (12-15-5, 5-12-5-4).
Â
As for Bradley's career night, he became the first CC player with four points in a game since
Alexander Krushelnyski and Scott Winkler each had four in a 5-3 victory over North Dakota on Nov. 30, 2012.
Â
The Tigers scored three power-play goals (3-for-8) for the second time this season and nine of CC's 26 shots Saturday came on the man advantage.
Â
The Tigers close out the regular season next weekend at Nebraska Omaha on March 6-7.
