Box Score Courtney Tyus inched closer to reaching two major career milestones at Colorado College on Friday evening in Sherman, Texas.
With nine points and three assists against Austin College, Tyus is now only five points shy of hitting 1,000. The senior guard also needs just two assists to become the second player in program history to record 400 or more.
The Tigers came up short against the 'Roos, falling 67-48 in Hughey Gym.

Danielle Davis led Colorado College with 14 points and seven rebounds. Junior
Katie Wirth also added seven rebounds and eight points.
Davis helped the Tigers jump to an early 6-0 lead as she scored all six points during the first 4:05 of the game.
With 13:43 left in the first half, Tyus drained a jumper to give CC an 8-5 lead. Austin came back 23 seconds later when Erin Riley hit a jumper to spark a 16-2 run to take command of the game.
The 'Roos, who now hold a 9-11 record and a 4-6 record in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, went into halftime with a 34-23 lead.
Austin's Kendall Heitmeier scored eight of her team-high 15 points in the second half as the 'Roos controlled the tempo of the game, only allowing CC to come within 11 points early in the final half.
Austin had four other players score in double figures: Kali Vittallo with12, Riley added 11 and Brianna Harvey and Chrissy Ray each earned 10 points apiece.
Colorado College (2-20, 2-9 SCAC) returns to action on Saturday in Irving, Texas as it takes on the University of Dallas at 6 p.m. CT.
