Box Score 2 The 13th-ranked Colorado College volleyball team swept both of its matches during the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Cross-Divisional Matches on Saturday in San Antonio, Texas.

The Tigers beat host Trinity University and Schreiner University, 3-0. With the victories CC improved to 14-1 on the season and 5-0 in conference play.

Sophomore
Sarah Barker led the offense with a combined 43 assists, while senior
Courtney Birkett added a combined 30 assists, 17 kills and 11 digs on the day. Senior
Sophie Merrifield led the defense with a combined 26 digs.

Colorado College beat Trinity University, 3-0 during its first match of the day after key blocks on defense helped the Tigers earn the 25-13, 25-23, 26-24 victory.

With the second set tied at 23-23, Birkett hit a kill to give CC set point. Trinity's Kristina Hughes attempted a kill, but senior
Kaimara Herron was there with a solo block to give the Tigers the second-set win.

Trinity (8-7, 1-3 SCAC) held set point at 24-23 during the third set, but a kill by freshman Mika Steffey-Bean knotted the match at 24-24. Steffey-Bean combined with junior
Abbe Holtze and then freshman
Aria Dudley on back-to-back blocks to help earn the sweep for CC.

Birkett led the offense against Trinity with 12 kills. Holtze added eight kills, eight digs and three service aces against the host Tigers.

In the final match of the day, CC swept Schreiner, 25-14, 25-13, 25-16, on a .346 attack percentage with 46 kills in 104 attempts with 10 errors.

Steffey-Bean and sophomore
Reagan Folaron led the attack for the Tigers with 15 and 12 kills, respectively. Steffey-Bean's 15 kills was a career-high for the middle hitter, while Folaron earned her second double-double of the season with a team-best 15 digs.

Colorado College finishes up its road trip on Sunday against No. 18 Southwestern University at 10 a.m. CT and Texas Lutheran University at 12:00 p.m. CT.
