Box Score Senior guard
Katie Waters scored a season-high 14 points to lead all players as Colorado College fell to Texas Lutheran University, 75-45, in Seguin, Texas on Friday evening in its first of two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference road games this weekend.

Waters led the team shooting 6-of-7 from the charity stripe and went 4-for-9 from the floor to score in double figures. This was the fourth time this season that the senior has scored in double figures.

Freshman forward
Kate Loy led the Tigers with a career-high six rebounds to lead the team on defense, while tying her career-high five points.

Texas Lutheran took an early 10-2 lead midway through the first quarter when Jasmine Sauceda made a pair of free throws with 4:48 left to play in the quarter. Waters hit a layup with 3:48 remaining to help CC close out the quarter with a 5-4 run.

The Tigers hit a drought after Waters made a layup seven seconds into the second quarter, when Savannah Hight made a layup with 8:27 left to play to help the Bulldogs spark a 19-0 run to end the quarter with a 35-9 lead at halftime.

Freshman guard
Casey Torbet scored her game-high seven points in the second half alone as CC attempted to outscore TLU, however, the Bulldogs held the slight edge outscoring the Tigers 19-18 in the third quarter and 21-18 in the fourth quarter.

Hight led Texas Lutheran (8-9, 4-2 SCAC) with 12 points and six rebounds, while Taylor Dydalewicz, Eriana Garner, and Cierra Jordan each scored nine points apiece. Â

Colorado College (2-16, 1-6 SCAC) will finish its road trip against Southwestern University on Saturday at 8 p.m. CT in Georgetown, Texas.
