Box Score Colorado College falls to conference-leader Trinity University, 74-46, during its final weekend of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season on Friday evening in San Antonio, Texas.

The Tigers were led by senior forward
Danielle Davis, who scored 13 of her 14 points in the second half alone. Davis also earned her second double-double of the season leading all players with 10 rebounds.

Freshman guard
Casey Torbet contributed with eight points for CC's offense and grabbed a career-high seven rebounds on defense, while sophomore forward
Nina Holley added a career-high six points.

Trinity's Molly Hughes made a layup in the first 10 seconds to help ignite a 16-0 run that lasted just over six minutes to open up the first quarter with a commanding 23-3 lead after 10 minutes of action.

The Tigers had its strongest 10 minutes in the second quarter as the team combined for 21 points. CC ended the half on a three-pointer by sophomore guard
Francesca Cendali with six seconds left, to go into intermission down 45-24. Â Â

Rachel Chavez gave TU its biggest lead of the third quarter at 58-28 with 3:09 remaining, but Davis scored all of CC's points during a 5-2 run to close out the final 1:25 of the third quarter.

Davis and Holley scored a pair of baskets through the first 1:47 to continue the Tigers' run in the fourth quarter, but that proved to be as close as CC would get as the hosts were able to maintain their distance the remainder of the game. Â

Trinity (19-4, 10-2) was led by Monica Holguin with 14 points and Elizabeth Balido with 12 points and four rebounds. Hughes also added eight points and four steals on defense.

Colorado College (4-20, 3-10 SCAC) will play its final regular-season game of the season against Schreiner University on Saturday at 8 p.m. CT in Kerrville, Texas.
