Box Score Clara Richter recorded the brace of her career to power the Colorado College women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over the University of Denver on Sunday afternoon in the Colorado Cup.

Richter, a sophomore forward, scored the only goal the Tigers would need at the end of the fourth minute when she collected a pass from senior midfielder Dana Gornick and found the net on a blast from the right side of the box.

CC doubled its lead with a little more than 12 minutes remaining in the first half when sophomore midfielder Lauren Milliet notched her first career goal from the middle of the box off a crosse from sophomore defender Tanner Haughn.

Richter struck for the second time in the 38th minute when she ran down a long ball from sophomore midfielder Kelli Sullivan and scored on a shot from the right side.

Junior goalkeeper Rowan Frederiksen recorded her seventh career shutout without making a save.

The Colorado College defense kept the clean sheet intact when it cleared Hannah Alder's shot out of harm's way late in the 56th minute.

Eleven minutes later, DU sophomore forward Leah Swander hit the crossbar with a shot from the right wing.

Freshman Brittany Wilson stopped one shot for Denver during her 57:07 in goal.

Senior Cassidy Ray played the final 32 minutes in net for the Pioneers, who dropped to 0-2-0.

Both teams launched eight shots.

The Tigers improved to 18-7-1 in the all-time series against DU.

CC, 1-1-0 overall and in the Colorado Cup, returns to action on Thursday at the University of Pittsburgh.
