Clara Richter struck for the only goal of the contest in the 28th minute when she knocked the rebound of a shot by senior midfielder
Chanisse Hendrix into the left side of the net.
It proved to be Richter's second game-winning goal of the season and the third of her career.
CC finished with a 14-8 advantage in total shots and an 8-4 edge in those on target.
Senior Taylor Francis made seven saves for the Panthers, who slipped to 0-2-1.
