Colorado College kicks off its home schedule on Sunday, Sept. 11, against Utah Valley University, but first CC must play the last of five consecutive road contests at the University of Cincinnati. The Tigers tangle with UC on Friday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. ET, and then play host to the Wolverines at 11 a.m. on Washburn Field.

Fans can watch Friday's game at Cincinnati's Gettler Stadium live on BearcatsTV.com, and Sunday's contest between Utah Valley and Colorado College on the Tiger Sports Network (www.cctigers.com/watch/) or the Mountain West Network (www.themw.com/page/watch-live).

CC takes a 2-2-0 record in Friday's game after splitting a pair of road matches on Aug. 25 and 28. The Tigers began the two-game trip with a 1-0 victory at the University of Pittsburgh, but dropped a 4-1 decision at Georgetown University.

The Bearcats are 4-2-0 overall and 2-0-0 at home. UC split its most recent outings during the Labor Day weekend, falling 2-0 at Boston College before bouncing back for a 2-1 triumph at Boston University.

Utah Valley takes a 4-1 record and a three-game winning streak into Friday's contest at the University of Wyoming. The Wolverines defeated UNLV, 2-1, in its most recent game on Sept. 2.

All-time, Colorado College is 22-8-2 in home openers, which includes a 9-2-1 mark under head coach Geoff Bennett. The Tigers have won three consecutive home openers and are 3-0-1 in their last four. CC kicked off its 2015 home campaign with a 1-0 victory over the University of Northern Colorado at Stewart Field.

Only twice in the 33-year history of the program has Colorado College waited longer for its first home game. In 1991, CC kicked off its home schedule on Sept. 13 with a 3-2 to loss to Santa Clara University. On Sept. 14, 1985, the Tigers began their second varsity season with a 1-0 setback against the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Colorado College owns a 3-1 lead in the series with Cincinnati, but will be looking to avenge last season's 2-1 loss at Stewart Field. The Tigers are 2-0 in the Queen City, where they prevailed 1-0 in 1987 and 4-1 in 1989. CC and Utah Valley are playing for just the second time. The teams battled to a 0-0 tie on Nov. 4, 2004, in their only previous meeting.

Regardless of whether Colorado College plays at Stewart Field (grass) or Washburn Field (turf), the Tigers have enjoyed a significant advantage when playing at an elevation of 6,035 feet. With its 4-9-0 mark at home last season, CC now is 242-48-27 (.806) in 317 all-time matches on its own campus. That includes an 84-21-15 mark (.763) at the two venues during Bennett's 12-year reign as head coach.

The Tigers continue their three-game home stand next week when UMass-Lowell and Northern Arizona University visit Stewart Field. CC plays host to the River Hawks on Friday at 3 p.m., and then closes out the non-conference portion of its schedule against NAU on Sunday at 11 a.m.
