Tigers Fall at Fresno State

Box Score Sophomore goalkeeper Molly Hiniker stopped a career-high seven shots, but her efforts were not enough to get the Colorado College women's soccer team a win on Sunday afternoon.

Sophomore forward Julia Glaser struck for a pair of goals in the first 18 minutes to lead Fresno State to a 3-1 victory.

Senior midfielder Carly Bracken gave the Bulldogs a 3-0 lead a little less than four minutes into the second half.

Sophomore midfielder Sarah Lyons notched her first goal of the season in the 73rd minute when she scored off a cross from junior midfielder Lauren Milliet.

Milliet extended her career-long point streak to five games and now leads the Tigers with six goals, six assists and 18 points, all of which are personal single-season highs.

Fresno State finished with a 17-16 edge in total shots while each team generated eight corner kicks.

Starting goalkeeper Nicole Theroux made one save in almost 36 minutes of action to earn the victory for the Bulldogs. Junior Marie Berwinkel-Kottmann stopped one shot, while sophomore Alex Best made two saves during the final 17:29.

Senior forward Myra Delgadillo recorded two assists for Fresno State, which improved to 10-5-3 overall and 5-3-2 in the Mountain West.

The Tigers, who dropped to 5-9-4 overall and 2-6-2 in the conference, will visit Air Force on Thursday, Oct. 26, for their final game of the season.
