Box Score Colorado College earned a valuable road point on Friday afternoon, playing host Utah State to a 1-1 tie at Bell Field.
Junior forward
Clara Richter gave the Tigers the lead late in the 72nd minute when she knocked in the rebound off a defensive stop by the Aggie defense.
Richter snapped a five-game scoreless drought with her third goal of the season and tied junior midfielder
Lauren Milliet for the team lead with three goals and nine points.
The Aggies leveled the score with just 1:42 to play when Emma Clark scored her first goal of the season when CC first-year goalkeeper
Jade Odom came off her line to challenge Ashley Cardoza.
Odom, who finished with five saves, came up big in extra time when she denied a shot by Cardoza late in the first overtime and then a blast by Utah State's scoring leader Wesley Hamblin with 2:14 remaining in the second.
The Colorado College defense preserved the tie when it made a team save on Hamblin's shot in the 109th minute.
The Tigers are 4-5-4 overall and 1-2-2 in the Mountain West.
Sara Cobb made a pair of saves for the Aggies, who are 6-5-2 overall and 1-3-1 in the conference.
Utah State finished with a 12-3 advantage in both total shots and corner kicks.
