Box Score Colorado College nearly erased a three-goal deficit at Boise State University on Sunday afternoon, but the Tigers ran out of time and BSU escaped with a 3-2 victory at the Boas Soccer Complex.

Kelli Sullivan ignited CC's comeback attempt in the 52nd minute on her second goal of the season. The junior defender put the Tigers on the board when she headed in a cross from sophomore midfielder Lucia Costanza.

Colorado College pulled to within a goal with 1:51 remaining when the forwards applied pressure on the Broncos and forced a poor clearing attempt. Freshman midfielder Tayla Wheeler jumped on the ball and finished her only shot of the game for her first collegiate score.

Neither team was able to launch a shot during the final 111 seconds and CC was ruled offside on its last possession with 28 seconds remaining.

Aubree Chatterton scored BSU's first goal in the 26th minute from the right side of the box after Jazel Dennison played the ball into the box.

The Broncos caught a break almost four minutes later when Raimee Sherle found a loose ball in the box and slipped it past CC first-year goalkeeper Jade Odom.

Boise State added a third goal in a little more than 11 minutes remaining in the first half when McKenna Kynett scored off of a touch from Sherle.

Odom made a pair of saves in the first half. Sophomore goalkeeper Molly Hiniker did not face a shot during the final 45 minutes.

The Tigers finished with a 12-9 advantage in total shots, which included a 7-3 margin in the second half.

Colorado College also generated five corner kicks, one more than the Broncos.

Janelle Flores made four saves for BSU, which improved to 8-5-2 overall and 3-2-1 in the Mountain West.

The Tigers, who are 4-6-4 overall and 1-3-2 in the conference, open a crucial three-game home stand on Friday, Oct. 13, against San Diego State University.
