Friday's game will be televised in the Rocky Mountain Region on CET / XFINITY Channel 900.

Last Weekend
The Tigers split a pair of games at Miami University last weekend ... On Friday, Josh Melnick scored at the 2:37 mark of overtime to give Miami a 3-2 victory. Melnick took a pass from Ben Lown off a 2-on-1 rush and snuck the puck past CC goalie Alex Leclerc (Longueuil, Quebec) to give the RedHawks their third consecutive victory and hand CC its first one-goal loss this season. The Tigers took a 2-1 lead with a pair of power-play goals in the third period. During the second power play of the period, Trevor Gooch (Mantua, NJ) evened the score at 1-all when he redirected a Kristian Blumenschein (Kelowna, B.C.) shot from the point past Miami netminder Ryan Larkin at the 6:51 mark of the frame. Ben Israel (Bloomfield Hills, MI) was also credited with an assist on the play. Christiano Versich (Kelly Lake, MN) then gave the Tigers a 2-1 lead with 4:40 left in the third period. He took a pass from Blumenschein, juked past a Miami defender at the right circle and placed a backhander to the far post. Israel collected his second helper of the game on the play as well. After Larkin went to the bench for an extra attacker with just over a minute remaining in the third, Casey Gilling took a centering pass from Gordie Green and sent a wrist shot that beat Leclerc stick side to even the score at 2-2 and send the game to overtime ... On Saturday, the Tigers rallied from a 1-0 deficit with a pair of second-period goals for a 2-1 victory. Despite attempting a season-low 14 shots, the Tigers won for the first time ever in Oxford. Conor Lemirande opened the scoring at the 15:51 mark of the first period to give Miami a 1-0 lead. Lemirande took a pass from Ryan Sirocky and fired a wrist shot from the right circle that snuck inside the far post behind Leclerc. Co-captain Tanner Ockey (Calgary, Alberta) evened things up with his first goal of the season at the 2:05 mark of the second period. Versich gathered the puck in the Miami end after a RedHawk turnover and found Ockey, who blasted a one-timer from the slot. Versich posted a two-point weekend after scoring on Friday. Late in the second period, as late as it can get, Westin Michaud (Cloquet, MN) fired a wrist shot from the left circle that beat Larkin with one-tenth of a second remaining in the frame. Nick Halloran (Draper, UT) collected his team-high ninth assist and Trey Bradley (Tampa, FL) his eighth on Michaud's power-play goal. Leclerc came up huge for the Tigers once again with 26 saves.

Another One-Goal Win
After Miami handed CC its first one-goal loss of the season Friday night, the Tigers won 2-1 on Saturday and are now 5-1 in one-goal games in '17-18.

Rally, Rally, Rally ...
Colorado College has rallied from a 1-0 deficit to win three times this season, surpassing last year's total of wins after an opponent scored first. The Tigers won only once last season after the opponent scored first, the 2-1 victory at St. Cloud State in the regular-season finale.

And More Rallying ...
Saturday's victory was the first for CC when trailing after the first period since Dec. 5, 2015. Ironically, the Tigers came from behind to beat Miami in that game as well, 3-2.

Up Next
The Tigers travel to St. Cloud, Minn., to face the nation's No. 1 team, St. Cloud State, Nov. 17-18, at The Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.

For the Record
Colorado College is 6-4-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the NCHC following its split at Miami University. It is the program's best record after 10 games since a 7-3 start in 2012-13 ... Omaha is 3-2-1 overall after splitting with Notre Dame, Oct. 26-27. The Mavericks were idle last weekend and open NCHC play this weekend.

The Coaches
Mike Haviland (Elmira College, '90) is in his fourth season at the helm of the Tigers. He came to Colorado College after serving one year as head coach of the Hershey Bears (AHL). Haviland was an assistant coach for the Chicago Blackhawks from 2008-12, helping the team win the Stanley Cup in 2010 … Mike Gabinet (Omaha, '04) is in his first season as head coach at Omaha after serving as the team's associate head coach during the 2016-17 season. Prior to that, he was the head coach of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in 2015-16.

Scouting the Mavericks
Three Mavs, David Pope (4g,3a), Steven Spinner (3g,4a) and Tyler Vesel (3g,4a) lead the team in scoring with seven points apiece. Junior goalie Evan Weninger is 3-2 this season with a 3.22 goals-against average and an .895 saves percentage.

On the Air
All CC games in 2017-18, home and away, will be broadcast live throughout Southern Colorado on KRDO NewsRadio 105.5 and 92.5 FM, as well as 1240 AM, featuring Ken Landau with the play-by-play. Pre-game shows start 37 minutes before faceoff. The broadcasts also can be heard worldwide via the Internet ... Select games, including Friday's vs. Omaha, will also be available on KSBV 93.7 FM in Cripple Creek, Divide, Buena Vista, Monarch and Leadville.

Still Tied For NCHC Lead
The Tigers are tied atop of the NCHC standings with six points, along with St. Cloud State and Western Michigan.

Tigers Continue to Move Up in Both Polls
For the third consecutive week, Colorado College received votes in both the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls. The Tigers received 53 votes in the USCHO poll (22nd) and seven votes in the USA Today poll (T, 19th).

Fastest to Six Since '05
With the 2-1 victory over Miami on Nov. 4, the Tigers achieved their sixth win earlier than any season since the 2005-06 campaign. That season, CC won its sixth game on Oct. 28. The Tigers are tied for second in the NCHC and third in the country with six victories.

Bergh Among National Leaders in Goals ...
Mason Bergh (Eden Prairie, MN) is tied for second in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference and tied for third in the country with seven goals this season. He already has four multi-point games in '17-18.

... And Leclerc in Wins
Meanwhile, Leclerc leads the NCHC and is tied for second in the nation with six wins. He is fifth in the NCHC in GAA (2.60) and saves percentage (.911).

Another Tough Schedule
After playing the second-toughest schedule in the country last season, the Tigers are at it again this year. Five of Colorado College's 13 opponents this season played in the NCAA Division I Hockey Tournament last season and 18 of CC's 34 regular-season games are against teams that are ranked in this week's USCHO.com Top 20 poll.

No Seniors This Season
Colorado College is one of only two Division I programs in the country without a senior on the 2017-18 roster. Boston College is the other. The Tigers have 10 juniors, 10 sophomores and nine freshmen on the roster.

Bergh Posts Hat Trick vs. Alaska Anchorage
With three goals against UAA on Oct. 14, Bergh posted the program's first hat trick since Mike Boivin on Jan. 4, 2013, at Nebraska-Omaha. The last time a Tiger scored three times in one game at home was Rylan Schwartz against Bemidji State on Oct. 15, 2011.

Been a While Since Two with Three Helpers
With three assists apiece in CC's 6-1 victory over Alaska Anchorage on Oct. 13, Halloran and Bradley became the first pair of Tigers since Nov. 6, 2010, to record at least three assists in one game. Jaden Schwartz (4a) and Stephen Schultz (3a) did the trick against Denver.
