Box Score Senior midfielder Haley Hanson scored a pair of goals early in the first half to lead the University of Nebraska women's soccer team to a 3-1 victory over Colorado College in an exhibition game on Saturday night at Hibner Stadium.

Hanson opened the scoring in the 10th minute after taking a feed from junior forward Michaela Loebel, and then struck for what proved to be the game-winning goal on a penalty kick a little more than eight minutes later.

Hannah Burgo put the Tigers on the board in the 75th when she beat junior goalkeeper Lauren Smith with a shot from the left side on a breakaway.

Jade Odom with a little more than 36 minutes remaining in the game. Odom stopped the only shot she faced.

Sophomore goalkeeper Aubrei Corder made one save for Nebraska during her 67 minutes of action.

Colorado College officially kicks off the 2017 season on Friday, August 18, when the Tigers play host to the University of Northern Colorado at 3 p.m. on Stewart Field.
