Box Score
Colorado College leveled its record at 3-3-0 with a 2-0 victory over Army West Point on Sunday afternoon at Stewart Field.
Junior forward
Clara Richter scored the only goal the Tigers would need late in the seventh minute when she chipped the ball over Sydney Cassalia after Army's first-year goalkeeper came off her line to challenge a ball that junior midfielder
Lauren Milliet looped over the Black Knight's back line.
Richter and Milliet combined for four goals and three assists in the Colorado College's two victories this week.
CC doubled its lead just before halftime when junior forward
Rae Conlon touched in a cross that sophomore forward
Catie McDonald sent along the goal line from the left side of the box.
The Tigers nearly added a score midway through the first half, but McDonald's sharp-angle shot from the lower right side of the box kissed the crossbar and the rebound was cleared out of the box.
With 20 minutes remaining in the game, Army junior goalkeeper Helen Burleigh got enough of a fingertip on
Kelli Sullivan's shot from just outside the top of the box to send it off the crossbar.
Sullivan was even more effective at the other end of the pitch, where she anchored the Colorado College defense that allowed only four shots on goal while recording its first clean sheet of the season.
First-year goalkeeper
Jade Odom made three saves while recording the first shutout of her career.
Odom made a spectacular stop in the 68th minute to preserve the clean sheet when she elevated to tip a high shot off the boot of Simone Gardner inches over the crossbar.
CC finished the game with a 14-9 advantage in total shots, while the Black Knights had a 7-6 edge in corner kicks.
Cassalia made one save in the first half, while Burleigh stopped three shots in the final 45 minutes. Army slipped to 2-4-1.
The Tigers play their final non-conference games of the season this week when they visit Yale University and the University of Connecticut on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
