Box Score Colorado College extended its unbeaten streak to three games with a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Yale University on Friday night.
Catie McDonald gave the Tigers the lead in the 32nd minute when she pounced on a loose ball in the crease which junior midfielder
Lauren Milliet kept alive.
It was the first goal of the season for CC's sophomore forward, while Milliet extended her point-scoring streak to three games.
The Bulldogs tied the game less than three minutes later on very similar circumstances.
Freshman forward Ciara Ostrander put a corner kick into the box and senior midfielder Sarah McCauley found the net off deflections by senior defender Carlin Hudson and sophomore Aerial Chavarin.
From that point on, the defenses took over.
Yale finished with an 18-5 advantage in total shots, but had just a 4-3 edge in shots on target.
Freshman goalkeeper
Jade Odom made three saves for the Tigers, who now are 3-3-1 on the season.
Sophomore goalkeeper Jane Buckley did not have a save during the first 45 minutes for the Bulldogs. Sophomore Alyssa Fagel played the final 65 minutes and stopped a pair of shots.
Yale is 6-1-1.
The Tigers will stay in the Constitution State until Sunday when they square off with the University of Connecticut at noon.
