Tigers Tripped at UNLV

Despite a 10-save performance from freshman goalkeeper Jade Odom, the Colorado College women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision at UNLV on Friday night.

Odom kept the CC within striking distance until early in the second half when the Rebels scored twice in a span of 128 seconds to break the game open.

Michaela Morris scored in the 58th minute off a touch from Katie Ballou to make the score 2-0, then Ballou scored on a penalty kick a little more than two minutes later to stretch UNLV's lead to three.

Senior goalkeeper Jordan Sallee made all three of her saves in the second half.

The Rebels finished with a 24-9 advantage in total shots and a 9-6 edge in corner kicks.

UNLV improved to 10-2-0 overall and 2-1-0 in the Mountain West.

The Tigers are 3-5-3 overall and 0-2-1 in league play.

Colorado College returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 1, at the University of Nevada in Reno.
