Lauren Milliet struck for three goals to lead the Colorado College women's soccer team to a 4-1 victory over the University of South Dakota on Friday night at Washburn Field.
 
Milliet put the Tigers on the board early in the 10th minute when she took Lucia Constanza's short corner kick and sent a low skipping shot through traffic and USD goalkeeper Coral Suarez.
 
The sophomore forward made it 2-0 in the 30th minute when she pounced on the rebound of a shot by junior forward Clara Richter and sent the ball into an open net.
 
A little more than two minutes later, Richter collected a long pass from freshman midfielder Jenna Wilt and banked in a shot off the left post for her first goal of the season.
 
Zoe Anderson broke up the shutout in the 34th minute off a quick restart on a direct kick. The junior forward started her run on the right side, took a pass from junior midfielder Cooper Thau and went in 1v1 with CC first-year goalkeeper Jade Odom.
 
Colorado College got that goal back in the 72nd minute when Milliet took a long through ball from Richter and sent a crossing shot from the left side past junior goalkeeper Parker Rytz, who played the final 45 minutes for the Coyotes.
 
Milliet became the 13th different Tiger to score three or more goals in a game and the first since Brittney Lyman struck five times in a 5-2 victory over UTEP on Oct. 30, 2009, at Washburn Field. Milliet's hat trick is the 21st in program history.
 
Odom finished with five saves for Colorado College.
 
Suarez stopped a pair of shots in the first half, while Rytz made five saves during her 45 minutes.
 
CC finished the game with an 18-7 advantage in total shots and a 7-2 edge in corner kicks.
 
Colorado College (2-3-0) plays host to Army West Point on Sunday at noon on Stewart Field.
