Peter Krieger and Riley Tufte each had two goals and two assists to lead 15th-ranked Minnesota Duluth to a 6-5 victory over Colorado College Friday night at The Broadmoor World Arena.

Tufte scored twice and Krieger once, the game-winner, in the second period as the Bulldogs (10-9-3, 4-7-0-0 NCHC) rallied from a 4-3 deficit to take a 6-4 lead after two periods, then held on behind goaltender Hunter Shepard (26 saves).

Tanner Ockey gave Colorado College (9-9-3, 3-6-2-1 NCHC) the 4-3 advantage with his fourth goal of the season two minutes into the second period after a wild opening frame that saw each team strike three times.

Krieger opened the scoring just 31 seconds into the contest, but the Tigers fought back with goals from
Nick Halloran and
Kristian Blumenschein 26 seconds apart to take a 2-1 lead at the 7:09 mark. Kobe Roth scored the first of three power-play goals for UMD at the 11:10 mark to even the score at 2-all.

Halloran notched his second of the game and team-high 13
th of the season with the Tigers on a 5-on-3 power play at the 13:47 mark, but Jared Thomas once again evened the score with a power-play tally with 2:54 left in the first.

After Ockey scored early in the second,
Zach Berzolla was whistled for cross-checking and Tufte scored at the 3:32 mark to make it 4-4, then he put the Bulldogs ahead for good at the 14:02 mark. Krieger made it 6-4 with 4:02 remaining in the second period, at which time CC head coach
Mike Haviland pulled goaltender
Alex Leclerc in favor of freshman
Alec Calvaruso.

Calvaruso held UMD scoreless the rest of the way with seven saves, and
Westin Michaud scored at the 7:29 mark of the third to cut the lead to 6-5. However, the Tigers could not get anything else past Shepard, who made four of his 26 saves in the final 2:02 with Calvaruso on the bench for an extra skater.

Blumenschein and Michaud each had a goal and an assist for the Tigers, while
Mason Bergh and
Trey Bradley had two assists apiece. Leclerc had 18 saves before departing in the second period.

The Bulldogs took advantage of CC committing a penalty within one minute of scoring three times Friday. UMD finished 3-for-6 on the power play, while the Tigers were 2-for-5.
