The games will be broadcast in Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region on KRDO NewsRadio 105.5 and 92.5 FM, as well as 1240 AM, and streamed live at NCHC.tv. Friday's game will be televised on CET / XFINITY Channel 900. The teams split a series in Oxford, Ohio, earlier this season.

Last Time Out
The Tigers and 11th-ranked Western Michigan split a pair of overtime games last weekend in Kalamazoo ... On Friday, Richard Zehnal scored 35 seconds into the extra period to give WMU a 3-2 victory. With the teams skating 4-on-4, Zehnal took a pass from Hugh McGing and placed a backhander past Tiger goalie Alex Leclerc. The Tigers rallied from a 1-0 deficit to take a 2-1 lead midway through the third period thanks to goals from Trevor Gooch and Troy Conzo. Gooch evened the score at 1-1 with his eighth goal of the season at the 2:15 mark of the final frame. He poked the puck to Branden Makara, who was ahead of the pack for a breakaway. A Western Michigan defender pulled Makara down, but he was able to get the puck to Gooch, who turned at the right circle and fired the puck through the legs of WMU goalie Ben Blacker. Conzo then gave CC the lead at the 12:16 mark with the second goal of his career. Christiano Versich gathered the puck inside the Western zone and found Conzo in the slot, who went top shelf against Blacker. After Gooch was called for a delay of game penalty just over a minute later, Paul Stoykewych made it 2-2 with a shot from the slot over the shoulder of Leclerc to force overtime ... On Saturday, Nick Halloran scored with 54.6 seconds remaining in overtime for a 6-5 victory, CC's first win at Lawson Ice Arena in 10 tries. Mason Bergh won a faceoff in the WMU end that went right to Halloran at the top of the right circle and he fired a rocket past Blacker for his team-leading third GWG of the season. Halloran added two assists for a three-point night, while Bergh and Conzo each had a goal and a helper. The Tigers rallied from a 3-1 deficit and won their first game of the season when trailing after two periods. The top line of Halloran, Bergh and Trey Bradley each scored, as did three freshmen, Zach Berzolla (first career goal), Conzo and Jack Gates. Conzo and Gates each scored in the third period to give CC a 5-4 lead, but the Broncos scored on the power play and an extra skater with 1:25 remaining in the third to set up overtime for the second consecutive night.

Up Next
The Tigers have next weekend off before traveling to Grand Forks for a series against North Dakota, Feb. 9-10.

Bergh and Halloran Nominated for Hobey Baker Award
Bergh and Halloran are among 74 student-athletes nominated for the 2018 Hobey Baker Award. The Hobey Baker Award is presented annually to the collegiate hockey player who best demonstrates strength of character both on and off the ice, contributes to the integrity of his team and displays outstanding skills in all phases of the game. Colorado College has had two winners since the first Hobey Baker was awarded in 1981, Peter Sejna (2003) and Marty Sertich (2005).

For the Record
Colorado College is 10-11-3 overall following the weekend at Western Michigan. The Tigers are 4-8-2-1 in the NCHC, good for 15 points and a sixth-place tie with Omaha ... Miami is 9-11-2 overall and 4-7-1 in league play. The RedHawks have 13 points and are in eighth place in the NCHC standings.

The Coaches
Mike Haviland (Elmira College, '90) is in his fourth season at the helm of the Tigers. He led the Tigers to the Florida College Hockey Classic title last season. Haviland came to Colorado College after serving one year as head coach of the Hershey Bears (AHL) and was an assistant coach for the Chicago Blackhawks from 2008-12, helping the team win the Stanley Cup in 2010 … Enrico Blasi (Miami, '94) is in his 19th season as head coach at Miami. He is the winningest coach in school history with 384 victories and led the Redhawks to back-to-back Frozen Four appearances in 2009 and '10, including the school's first-ever berth in 2009 when Miami advanced to the national title game.

Scouting the RedHawks
Sophomore forward Gordie Green leads the RedHawks this season with 25 points (10g,15a). Junior forward Josh Melnick follows with 21 points (8g,13a). Sophomore goalie Ryan Larkin is 9-10-2 this season with a 3.01 goals-against average and an .899 saves percentage.

On the Air
All CC games in 2017-18, home and away, will be broadcast live throughout Southern Colorado on KRDO NewsRadio 105.5 and 92.5 FM, as well as 1240 AM, featuring Ken Landau with the play-by-play. The pregame show begins 37 minutes prior to the start of the game. The broadcasts also can be heard worldwide via the Internet ... Select games, including Friday's, also will be available on KSBV 93.7 FM in Cripple Creek, Divide, Buena Vista, Monarch and Leadville.

Halloran Second in NCHC in Scoring ...
Halloran is second in the NCHC in scoring with 34 points (14g,20a). He is tied for third in the country and trails Denver's Henrik Borgstrom, who has 35 points (16g,19a), in the league's scoring race.

... And is Fastest to 20 Assists in Seven Years
With his two assists last Saturday, Halloran reached the 20-assist mark in 24 games, the fewest games needed by a Tiger since Rylan Schwartz in the first 22 games of the 2010-11 season. Schwartz tied for second on the team with 28 assists that season. In addition, Halloran reached the 30-point mark in 21 games, the fewest games needed by a CC player since Brett Sterling did it in 19 games during the 2005-06 season.

Top Line Continues to Shine
Halloran, Bergh and Bradley have combined for at least six points in four of CC's last 10 games, including last Saturday's 6-5 overtime victory at Western Michigan. Halloran is second in the league with 20 assists and third with 14 goals. Bergh is in the top five in the league in goals (12) and points (30), while Bradley has a career-high 15 assists and 20 points this season.

Another Tough Schedule
After playing the second-toughest schedule in the country last season, the Tigers are at it again this year. Five of Colorado College's 13 opponents this season played in the NCAA Division I Hockey Tournament last season and 20 of CC's 34 regular-season games, including eight of the remaining 10, this season are against teams ranked in this week's USCHO.com poll.

Very Defensive in 10 Wins
In their 10 victories this season, the Tigers have allowed just 15 goals. Conversely, opponents have scored 54 times in CC's 11 losses.

Leclerc Hits 40 Saves for Fifth Time
Leclerc, who leads the NCHC and is sixth in the country with 653 saves, hit the 40-save mark for the fifth time in his career last Friday at Western Michigan. His 40 saves were one shy of his season-high 41 vs. Omaha on Nov. 11.

Still Solid in One-Goal Games
After splitting a pair of one-goal games last weekend, the Tigers are 7-3 in one-goal games this season. That is the most one-goal victories in a season since winning 11 during the 2012-13 campaign.

Several Career Highs Just Over Halfway Through
Seven Tigers, Halloran (34), Bergh (30), Bradley (20), Westin Michaud (18), Gooch (14), Ben Israel (9) and Kristian Blumenschein (9), have already posted a career-high in points after 24 games this season.

Fastest to 10 Wins in Six Years
With the 6-5 victory over Western Michigan last Saturday, the Tigers achieved their 10th win, more the team's win total in each of the last four seasons, and earlier than any season since the 2012-13 campaign. That season, CC won its 10th game on Jan. 19.

Saturday Success
The Tigers have been outstanding on Saturday this season, posting an 8-3-1 record. All three losses were against ranked teams, at home to No. 3 North Dakota, 6-4, on Oct. 28 and No. 15 Minnesota Duluth, 5-1, on Jan. 13, and at No. 2 St. Cloud State, 5-1, on Nov. 18. Six of the eight Saturday wins have been by one goal.

No Seniors This Season
Colorado College is one of only two Division I programs in the country without a senior on the 2017-18 roster. Boston College is the other. The Tigers have 10 juniors, 10 sophomores and nine freshmen on the roster.

Fastest Two Goals in Six Years
The two goals in 17 seconds by Michaud and Halloran on Dec. 16 were the fastest by Colorado College since Nov. 25, 2011, when Nick Dineen and Ryan Schwartz scored 16 seconds apart in a 7-6 loss at North Dakota.

Solid Showing by Calvaruso in Debut
Freshman Alec Calvaruso made his first collegiate appearance on Nov. 17 at St. Cloud State. After relieving Leclerc late in the first period, Calvaruso finished with 33 saves, including 21 in the second period, the most by a Tiger in one period since Leclerc had the same amount in a 3-0 victory vs. North Dakota on Jan. 28, 2017.

Halloran Named NCHC Player of the Month
After earning Offensive Player of the Week honors by the National Collegiate Hockey Conference for the period of Dec. 11-31, Halloran was named the NCHC Player of the Month for December. Halloran racked up eight points in six games, helping the Tigers post a 2-1-3 record during the month. He led all NCHC players with six goals during the month, while his 1.00 goals per game in December also led the conference.

Leclerc Named NCHC Goalie of the Week
Leclerc, who made 71 saves in a pair of ties against then No. 1-Denver, was named the Bauer NCHC Goalie of the Week on Dec. 11 by the National Collegiate Hockey Conference. Leclerc had 34 saves in Friday's 4-4 tie that snapped CC's 14-game losing streak against the Pioneers. The following night, he turned away 37 DU shots, his third-most this season, as the teams skated to a 1-1 draw at The Broadmoor World Arena. For the weekend, Leclerc finished with a 2.32 goals-against average and a .934 saves percentage.

Rally, Rally, Rally ...
Colorado College has rallied from a 1-0 deficit to win four times this season, surpassing last year's total of wins after an opponent scored first. The Tigers won only once last season after the opponent scored first, the 2-1 victory at St. Cloud State in the regular-season finale.

And More Rallying
The victory at Western Michigan last Saturday was the first for CC when trailing after the second period since Dec. 4, 2015, a 2-1 victory over Miami at home.

Bergh Posts Hat Trick vs. Alaska Anchorage
With three goals against UAA on Oct. 14, Bergh posted the program's first hat trick since Mike Boivin on Jan. 4, 2013, at Nebraska-Omaha. The last time a Tiger scored three times in one game at home was Rylan Schwartz against Bemidji State on Oct. 15, 2011.

Been a While Since Two with Three Helpers
With three assists apiece in CC's 6-1 victory over Alaska Anchorage on Oct. 13, Halloran and Bradley became the first pair of Tigers since Nov. 6, 2010, to record at least three assists in one game. Jaden Schwartz (4a) and Stephen Schultz (3a) did the trick against Denver.
