Fourth-ranked Colorado College advanced to the championship match of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament with a 25-12, 25-16, 25-19 victory over the University of Dallas.

The top-seeded Tigers will face third-seeded Southwestern University, which defeated Trinity University in four sets in Saturday's second semifinal match.

CC improved to 30-2 and reached the 30-win mark for the eighth time in the last 10 seasons.

Junior outside hitter Haley Harris, a first-team all-SCAC selection, led Colorado College with 10 kills and added 12 digs to complete her team-leading 12th double-double of the season.

Sophomore opposite hitter Laney Swan continued her impressive play by hitting .412 with eight kills on 17 attempts with only one misfire.

SCAC Player of the Year Marguerite Spaethling put down nine kills on 17 swings with only one error, while first-team all-SCAC pick Myca Steffey-Bean had seven kills on 17 attacks with a single error.

Swan and the two middle hitters combined for a .412 attack percentage to help the Tigers hit .305 as a team.

Junior libero Anna Gurolnick picked up a team-high 13 digs, while Spaethling and Steffey-Bean had a hand in three blocks apiece as CC held the Crusaders to a .105 percentage.

Steffey-Bean had four kills during the first set when Colorado College utilized an 11-2 run midway through the frame and was never threatened again.

The Crusaders were within 12-11 after Dayjah White recorded one of her team-best eight kills, however the Tigers kicked into gear and scored eight of the next nine points to open an eight-point cushion. The teams traded points the rest of the way as CC closed out the set for a 2-0 lead.

Colorado College trailed 13-9 early in the third set, but after head coach Rick Swan burned a timeout, the Tigers answered with a 9-3 surge to grab an 18-16 lead.

After the teams traded kills, sophomore defensive specialist Rachel Krutz served five consecutive points and CC completed its 21st sweep of the season with a kill from Harris.

Colorado College will attempt to win its fifth SCAC Tournament title on Sunday, as well as its first back-to-back crowns since the Tigers won three in a row from 2010 through 2012.
