The Colorado College volleyball team closed out the non-conference portion of its schedule with a 25-23, 25-12, 25-19 victory over DePauw University on Saturday afternoon at Reid Arena in the 2019 CC Invitational.
Colorado College improved to 21-2 overall with its 14th consecutive victory. During the streak, the Tigers posted a 52-1 mark in individual sets.
Senior outside hitter
Haley Harris recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 11 kills and 11 digs. Harris hit .474 with only two misfires on 19 attacks. She also served up three aces.
Junior outside hitter
Allie Freeburg put down 10 kills on 23 swings with just one error, finishing the match with a .391 hitting percentage.
Sophomore middle hitter
Georgia Mullins hit .429 with eight kills on 14 attempts with only two errors.
Senior setter
Lizzy Counts dished out 35 assists while leading CC to a .384 team hitting percentage.
Anna Gurolnick led the Tigers with 12 digs and climbed into third place on the program's all-time list with 1,685. With her ninth dig of the match midway through the third set, the senior libero moved past Aubrey Reed (2001-04) who finished her career with 1,681. Â
DePauw jumped out to a 5-1 lead and stayed with Colorado College during the first set. CC snapped a 22-22 tie with a blocked shot by
Meaghan Hohman and
Emma Hewlin, then went up by two after a Hohman kill. After a service error, Harris closed out the set with a thunderous kill inside the left pin.
Colorado College carried the momentum through the final two sets to close out the victory.

Jessica Levy and Morgan Stearley led DePauw with six kills apiece.
Stearley also had a team-high 11 digs.
Next for the Tigers
Colorado College travels to Irving, Texas, for another round of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference matches. The Tigers face Schreiner University and Centenary College on Friday, then Southwestern University and host University of Dallas on Saturday.
