The Colorado College women's soccer team turned in another solid Sunday performance at UNLV, but again the Tigers did not get a result that matched their effort.
The Rebels struck for a pair of second-half goals and dealt CC a 2-0 setback at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
After a scoreless first half during which the Tigers had a 9-6 edge in total shots, the Rebels broke through in the 60th minute when Jadyn Nogues scored off a feed from Malika Markham.
Colorado College came close to leveling the score in the 77th minute, but
Jenna Wilt's shot from inside the box was blocked by a UNLV defender.Â
The Tigers won four of their nine second-half corner kicks during the final 30 minutes, but were unable to capitalize on the opportunities.
Lourdes Bosch added an insurance goal with a little more than three minutes to play to secure the victory for the Rebels.
Colorado College finished the game with a 15-11 edge in total shots.
The Tigers won 10 corners, while UNLV had just one.
CC slipped to 8-4-0 overall and 3-3-0 in the Mountain West.
