The Tigers improved to 5-3 overall and posted the program's first five-game winning streak since the 2009-10 season.

Meltzer connected on seven of 15 field-goal attempts, including three of five from long range, while matching her career high point total first set on Nov. 23 in the win over Denison University.

Trailing 63-62 after Taylor Carney hit a three-pointer with a little less than five minutes to play, Meltzer scored the next four points on scoop-and-score drives to put CC up by three with 1:50 remaining. The senior guard hit a pair of free throws with 22 seconds to play to give the Tigers a 68-63 lead.

McKenzee Gertz, who finished with 17 points, sank a pair of free throws with nine seconds left to extend the margin to seven and seal the victory.

Izzy Hensley scored 11 points, while Anna Faneli added 10 to give Colorado College four players with double-digit points.

Fanelli also dished out a game-high eight assists.

Noel Pratts scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Pirates.

Southwestern led by five midway through the first quarter, but CC rallied to build a 36-31 cushion and led by three after 20 minutes.

The Tigers scored the first six points of the second half and opened a nine-point lead on a Meltzer three-pointer, only to see the Pirates rally with nine consecutive points to level the score at 42-42.
