Colorado College outscored MIT 10-3 in the second half and rallied for a 12-8 victory on Monday night at Washburn Field.

Trailing 5-2 after 30 minutes,
John Sutro ignited a 5-0 run with the first of his three goals 4:12 into the second half.

Back-to-back missiles from
Tom Haller tied the score with 4:45 remaining in the third quarter, and then CC took the lead on Sutro's second tally with 2:22 remaining.

Mark Heatzig, who led the Engineers with six goals, cut the Tiger lead to 7-6 early in the fourth quarter, but Colorado College answered with scores from
Tyler Borko and
Coby Petau to open a 9-6 lead with 10:44 remaining in the game.

MIT pulled to within a pair when Heatzig struck again with 9:38 to play, only to watch as CC extended its lead to 12-7 cushion on a pair of Borko markers and one more from Sutro.

The Tigers unleashed 57 total shots, compared to 27 for the Engineers.

Borko led CC with four goals and five points.

Andrew Harwood stopped 11 shots for Colorado College, which improved to 7-3.

The CC defense buckled down in the second half and finished with 12 caused turnovers.

Lukas Drexler-Bruce made 15 saves for MIT, which slipped to 4-4.

Colorado College plays host to Williams College at 7 p.m. Friday in its final home game of the 2019 campaign.
