Colorado College unleashed a 13-2 barrage midway through the first half to erase an early two-goal deficit and went on to record a 19-9 victory over George Fox University on Monday afternoon.
The 22nd-ranked Tigers improved to 8-0, the second time in three seasons CC began a season with eight consecutive wins.
Maggie O'Donnell led Colorado College with seven points, scoring four times and dishing out three assists.
Allie Thuet also scored four goals for the Tigers, while
Eva King produced three goals and a pair of assists.
At the other end of the field,
Ellie Meyer caused four turnovers as the CC defense held the Bruins to nearly half of their average of 17.71 goals per game entering the contest.
George Fox looked strong during the first eight minutes, using their speed to take a pair of two-goal leads.
The Bruins struck for a pair of goals during the opening 2:01, and after CC leveled the score on tallies by Meyer and
Allie Thuet, the Bruins took a 4-2 lead on tallies by Lois Ray and Madison Strickland.
Colorado College took its first lead at 5-4 on
Eva King's free-position goal 13:29 into the contest. Markers from

Robin Hilderman and
Maggie O'Donnell extended CC's lead to 7-4 with 13:34 remaining in the first half.
Ray stopped the Tiger outburst when she scored with 6:56 to play in the first half, but Colorado College answered 40 seconds later when Thuet found the net off precision passing from
Maggie O'Donnell and
Eva King.
CC added goals by Thuet and King to extend its lead to 11-5, however Jennifer Burke scored with 3:59 to go to trim the George Fox deficit to 11-6.
O'Donnell's second goal with 58 seconds to go closed out the scoring and gave Colorado College a 12-6 lead after 30 minutes.
Any hopes of a Bruin comeback were dashed when the Tigers scored five of the first six goals in the second half to build a 17-7 lead.
CC finished the game with a 23-13 advantage in total shots and a 12-7 edge in ground balls.
Junior goaltender
Alena Stern made four saves for Colorado College, while Ella Rand stopped eight shots for the Bruins.
Ray led the GFU attack with three goals and an assist, while Jennifer Burke added two goal and an assist.
George Fox slipped to 5-2.
Colorado College plays host to MIT on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
