Box Score Coley Lyubenko struck for the go-ahead goal early in the 41st minute to give the Colorado College women's soccer team a 2-1 victory at Weber State University in the first exhibition contest of the 2019 season on Thursday night.
Lyubenko scored the game-winning goal off of a feed from
Lucia Costanza.
The Tigers took a 1-0 lead a little less than 16 minutes into the game when
Jenna Wilt converted off of a touch from
Kiley Suter.
Wilt launched a game-high five shots, while Lyubenko finished with four.
Mylee Broad leveled the score almost eight minutes later for WSU, but that proved to be the only goal CC's stingy defense would allow.
Colorado College finished the contest with a 14-4 advantage in total shots and a 7-1 edge in shots on target.
The Tigers also won five corner kicks, compared to two for the Wildcats.
CC plays its final exhibition game at BYU on Saturday night.
