Colorado College rebounded from Friday's nail-biting loss at No. 20 Austin College by cruising to a 70-52 victory at the University of Dallas on Saturday night.
McKenzee Gertz scored 17 points to lead four Tigers in double-figures. The junior winger added eight rebounds and three assists.
Gertz became the 11th player in program history to score 1,100 or more career points and finished the game in 10th place with 1,106. She also became the 11th player to record 600 or more career rebounds, pushing her current total to 606.
CC surrendered just four points during the first quarter while opening a 10-point lead, then took complete control of the game by outscoring UD, 28-17, in the second frame to open a 21-point cushion after 20 minutes. Â
Rosie Braley posted her second double-double of the season with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Jordan Meltzer finished with 12 points, eight rebounds and three assists.
Meltzer's three-pointer in the opening minute of the fourth quarter gave Colorado College its largest lead at 61-34.
Colorado College finished with a commanding 62-40 edge on the glass and outscored the Crusaders in the paint, 38-20.
Beyonce Perry led UD with 15 points and eight rebounds.
