Junior defender
Josie Morales could not have picked a better time to strike for her first career goal.
Morales scored on a header off of
Jenna Wilt's short corner in the 67th minute to lift the Colorado College women's soccer team to a 2-1, come-from-behind victory at the University of Wyoming on Sunday afternoon.
Once the Tigers took the lead, their defense dialed up its intensity and allowed only one shot by the Cowgirls the remainder of the game.
Despite having just three shots on goal during the first half, the Wyoming broke through late in the 36th minute when Maddie Chance scored off of a pass from Alyssa Bedard.
The Tigers leveled the score early in the second half when
Jacqui Hand put a shot into the upper right 90 after taking a touch from Wilt.
Hand climbed into a five-way tie for 15th place on the program's all-time list with 18 goals as well as a tie for 32nd with 39 points.
Wilt recorded two or more assists for the second time and now is tied for 22nd place in program history with 12.
CC finished the game with a 21-8 edge in total shots, including a decisive 11-1 advantage in the second half.
The Tigers also won seven corner kicks, compared to just one for Wyoming.

They play hard, they listen and they are trying their hardest to represent CC to the best of their abilities. We are back in the hunt. We have a tough weekend ahead, but we are happy to be back home."
