Kiran Singh’s Brace Leads Tigers to 7-0 Victory at Centenary

Senior forward Kiran Singh struck for a pair of goals, including what proved to be the game winner in the 15th minute, to ignite an offensive explosion by the Colorado College men's soccer team in a 7-0 victory at Centenary College on Friday night.

Singh scored his second game winner of the season from the six-yard box off of a corner kick from his brother, Sajji. He completed his second brace of the season and third of his career with CC's fifth goal in the 57th minute.

Kiran now is third on the team with five goals and tied for fourth with 11 points.

Teddy Libby's first career goal gave the Tigers a 2-0 in the 41st minute, and then Kevin Peterson and Gabe Kellman scored 21 seconds apart early in the second half to put Colorado College ahead 4-0.

Alexander Ward struck for his third goal of the season in the 66th minute, and Ronan McCann closed out the scoring with his second goal of the year 94 seconds later.

The seven goals are the most for the Tigers since an 8-0 win over Centenary on Oct. 31, 2015, in a game played at the University of Dallas due to an unplayable field in Shreveport.

At the other end of the pitch, CC's Keleher Felton had to make just one save while improving to 10-2-1 in goal. Brandon Burke played the final 29:22 and did not face a shot while completing the team's second shared shutout of the season.

The Tigers' defense posted its fourth clean sheet of the year.

Colorado College finished the game with a 21-4 advantage in total shots and a 2-1 edge in corner kicks.
