Senior goalkeeper
Keleher Felton made a season-high nine saves, including a diving save on a penalty kick in overtime, but the Colorado College men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 result at the University of St. Thomas on Sunday.
After first-year defender
Curtis Hale was sent off 3:39 into the first overtime, Felton denied a shot from the spot by UST's Andres Marquez.
Despite playing a man-down, the Tigers generated shots by
Gabe Kellman and
Alexander Ward, and one corner kick, during the final six minutes of the first 10-minute period.
The Celts took advantage of their golden opportunity when Daniel Castro scored for the second time off a touch from Gabe Salako.
Vincent Luglio put the Tigers on the board in the 36th minute with his team-leading eighth goal of the season. He ran down a ball over the top and fired in a shot from the top of the 18-yard box into the lower right corner.
St. Thomas leveled the score a little more than three minutes later on Castro's first goal.
Colorado College nearly regained on a corner kick the lead in the 73rd minute, but Hale's shot was cleared off the line by a UST defender.
The Celts finished the game with a 21-16 advantage in total shots and an 11 -8 edge in shots on goal.
The Tigers won five corner kicks, compared to only one for St. Thomas.

Coach's Comments
"The ball just didn't bounce our way today," head coach
Scott Palguta said. "It was a very good game between two good teams. It was your typical hot, humid, and competitive Sunday SCAC game. We certainly created our fair share of chances and so did the opposition. We just couldn't hang on in overtime."
