Tigers Travel to No. 4 Minnesota Duluth
Colorado College travels to Minnesota for a weekend series against the No. 4-ranked team in the country, Minnesota Duluth. Both games will begin at 6 p.m. (MT) at Amsoil Arena and broadcast on KRDO NewsRadio 105.5 FM in the Pikes Peak Region. Friday's game will be telecast live on AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain.

Last Weekend
The Tigers lost a pair of games to No. 1-ranked St. Cloud State at Ed Robson Arena ... On Friday, Jami Krannila scored with 1:51 remaining in overtime to lift the Huskies to a 3-2 victory. Krannila scored off his own rebound from the right circle after taking the puck from behind his own net and skating down the right side during the 3-on-3 overtime period. CC goalie Dominic Basse saved Krannila's initial shot, but the puck went right back to him, who put it over Basse's shoulder. It was Krannila's second goal of the night and sixth of the season. Krannila sent the game to overtime with a power-play goal at the 15:35 mark of the third period to even the score at 2-2. The Tigers had rallied to take a 2-1 lead earlier in the final period when Brett Chorske scored his second goal in his second career game, poking home his own rebound on the power play from the right side of the net. Micah Miller opened the scoring at the 7:36 mark of the first period when he took the puck at center ice, skated around a CC defender and beat Basse from the right circle. Jordan Biro evened things up with his team-high fourth goal of the season at the 6:39 mark of the second period. Biro knocked a defender off his feet behind the SCSU net, took a couple steps out from the board and sent the puck past SCSU goalie David Hrenak ... On Saturday, Kevin Fitzgerald had a goal and two assists to lead SCSU to a 4-1 victory. Zach Okabe added a goal and an assist and David Hrenak made 23 saves. The game started ominously for the Tigers when Stanley Cooley was given a faceoff warning, then whistled for delay of game before the puck was dropped. The Tigers killed off the penalty and the teams played evenly for the next 15 minutes until Nolan Walker put the Huskies on the board with 2:22 remaining in the first period. Mason Salquist's shot from the left circle was saved by CC's Dominic Basse (29 saves), but the rebound went right to Walker, who had an open net from the right circle. In the final minute of the period, SCSU's Micah Miller took a lead pass from Fitzgerald and scored shorthanded, his second tally of the weekend for a 2-0 advantage. Jordan Biro continued his hot hand for the Tigers, cutting the lead in half with his team-high fifth goal of the season and third in as many games at the 6:53 mark of the second period. Biro took a cross-ice pass from Matthew Gleason and fired a wrister past Hrenak. The Tigers could not get anything else past Hrenak, or through the Husky defense for that matter. Okabe scored an insurance goal just as a Tiger penalty expired at the 4:43 mark of the third period, then Fitzgerald closed the scoring with a power-play goal with 6:45 left in the game.
