Sophomore guard
Audrey Bayston scored 20 of her game-high 25 points during the second half to fuel a furious comeback, but a slow start proved costly for the Colorado College women's basketball team which dropped a 71-69 result on a last-second basket at Lewis & Clark College on Monday night.
After Bayston's fifth triple of the game tied the score at 69-69 with 18 seconds remaining, the Pioneers ran the clock down and Charlotte Carroll scored on a layup with one second to play.
The Tigers trailed 50-29 when L&C's Eva Richards scored from behind the arc with 5:31 remaining in the third quarter, however Bayston scored on the ensuing possession to ignite an 18-5 surge that saw Colorado College close to within eight points with 28 seconds left in the period.
Lewis & Clark took a 60-49 lead on three-pointer by Karli Mukai 41 seconds into the fourth quarter, then watched as the Tigers scored 10 straight points to pull to within one on
Tedy Reed's layup with 6:37 to play.
Carroll's layup with 1:43 to go gave the Pioneers a 68-61 lead, but Bayston connected on three consecutive long-distance shots, the last of which capped a 9-1 run that tied the score at 69-69.
Bayston, who tied her career high of 25 points, was 10-for-13 from the floor and 5-for-7 from behind the arc.

Junior guard
Anna Fanelli finished with 14 points and dished out a game-high seven assists.
