The Colorado College women's swimming and diving team was very impressive in its 2021-22 home opener Friday afternoon, defeating SCAC-foe Trinity University, 138-84.

Juniors
Kate Brush and
Peyton Classon led the way for the Tigers. Brush won a pair of individual races, the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly, and swam the third leg of the winning 200 medley relay.

Classon, meanwhile, captured both diving events, posting 264.53 points on the 3-metre, and 289.20 on the 1-meter. She won the 1-meter event by nearly 45 points.

Sophomore
Annie Bowens joined Brush and fellow sophomore
Gina Lynch and
Emma Phillips on the 200 medley relay team, then won the 50 freestyle race with a time of 25.68 seconds.

Other winners for Colorado College on Friday included senior co-captains
Kerren Matthews (1000 freestyle) and
Maddie Amick (100 backstroke) and freshman
Olivia Cristafulli (400 individual medley).

"I am very proud of how our team stepped up today," head coach
Anne Goodman James said. "We have had a lot of people sick, and it was impressive to see how they just continued to dig deep. Trinity is a good team, and I know they will challenge us tomorrow."
