After having its home game against Colorado State canceled on Thursday, the Colorado College women's soccer team returns to action to face the University of Wyoming on Monday at Stewart Field in a game that was pushed back a day due to this weekend's winter storm.
Colorado College enters Sunday's game with a 1-0-0 record in the Mountain West mark after defeating Air Force, 1-0. Thursday's game against Colorado State and was been canceled due to COVID-19 issues within the Rams' program and will not be rescheduled.
Wyoming is 1-2-0 after dropping a 2-1 overtime result at Air Force on Thursday afternoon. The Cowgirls opened with a 1-0 victory over Utah State on Friday, but fell to New Mexico by the same score two days later.
Colorado College leads the all-time series against the Cowgirls 8-5-0. CC won eight of the first nine games, but the Cowgirls are riding a four-game winning streak after posting a 3-2 victory at Stewart Field in 2019. However, the Tigers have won three of five games in Colorado Springs.
The Tigers return an experienced side with eight starters and 16 veterans from last year's team which averaged 1.59 goals per game and conceded just 1.18. The returning players accounted for more than 80 percent of the team's 27 goals, 31 assists and 85 points a year ago, while four of six players who played the majority of minutes on the back line and in the defensive midfield also are back.

Wyoming returns nine starters and 17 letterwinners from its 2019 squad that finished 7-7-5 overall and 4-5-2 in the Mountain West. The Cowgirls average 0.67 goals per outing while conceding 1.0. Junior defender Savannah Warner and freshman forward Nikayla Copenhaver scored Wyoming's goals, while freshman forward Jazi Barela and sophomore Faith Joiner have the two assists. Junior goalkeeper Hannah Lee has a 1-1-0 record along with a 1.0 GAA and .900 saves percentage, while sophomore Alex Daws is 0-1-0 with a 1.22 GAA and .857 saves ratio.

Next week, Colorado College kicks off a run of four consecutive road games when the Tigers travel to Albuquerque, N.M., and Logan, Utah, to face the University of New Mexico and Utah State University on Friday and Sunday, March 19 and 21, respectively.
