The Tigers got the ball wide to junior midfielder
Abby Hubbard, who beat two Air force defenders before sending a cross into the box that was flicked toward the far post by sophomore forward
Jordan Darrow. Hand put her second shot on goal of the day past Air Force goalie Danielle Katz for her seventh career game-winning goal.

This was CC's first intercollegiate game since defeating Air Force, 3-2 on Nov. 1, 2019, a span of 491 days.

"I am happy with the effort and the result, but more happy for the program getting back on it's feet and playing a meaningful game," head coach
Geoff Bennett said. "We love representing Colorado College and we try to do it to the best of our ability every time we take the pitch."

The Tigers outshot Air Force, 12-4, in total shots and held a 4-2 advantage in shots on goal.

Adelaide Gaffney each had a shot on goal for Colorado College.

Wakeman, a junior transfer from Syracuse University, made one save in each half in her first career appearance after not seeing action as a freshman and missing her sophomore season with the Orange due to injury.

Colorado College plays its first home games of the season next weekend, hosting Colorado State on Friday, March 12 at7 p.m., and Wyoming on Sunday, March 14, beginning at noon.
